Ah, sheed fan, determined not to answer questions. I never said god is an asshole. I never mentioned god at all in this thread. And no one "worships" evolution, no more than anyone "worships" gravity. Nor can you find anyone who says they "worship" evolution. People accept evolution, and gravity, and relativity, among others, because they are scientific theories that factually describe the world and have been upheld in test after test. If another theory were to explain the world/universe better it could be accepted. That is how science works. (Yes, I know there are occasional cheats and booboos because it is a human endeavor and humans are fallible.)
But better to make more shit up than to admit you made shit up, right? That you never read Origin of Species and your so called quotes come from some creationist web site? You think I haven't heard all the creationist fake quotes before? Come on, dude, be a man, stand up for what you say. Cite the sections of Origin that contain the racist references. Cite the historical reference to a link between science and Hitler (who was notoriously anti-science). Cite the evidence that evolution, which proves the commonality of all humans, is "racist". Come on, show your stuff. Where in Origin are those citations you claim exist?
I have two copies of Origin of Species. One was published by MacMillan Press in the 1970s. The introduction and footnotes are by one of MacMillan's editors. As the term "politically correct" had not yet been invented, this could not be the "politically correct" version. The other is a large volume from 2003 containing in full four of Darwin's books, Voyage of the Beagle, Origin of Species, Descent of Man, and Expression of Emotions in Man and Animals. You notice they did not substitute gender neutral word like "person" for "man" so I guess it's not the "politically correct" version either. The introduction and annotations are by James Watson. No one in their right or even wrong mind would call Watson "PC Police". Watson has been criticized for his racist and misogynist comments but got some comeuppance when he publicly ran his own DNA and the world, including himself, learned he has a significant amount of sub-Saharan African DNA.
In neither version of Origin are there any such comments about Jews or what would then have been called "Negroes". And no biologist would say anything about great grandpa being an ape, except perhaps as a joke at a convivial gathering. In fact, I am 99.99999% certain there is no "politically correct" version of Origin in existence. Darwin, obviously, wrote in English so there are not competing translations; different editions merely have different introductions or footnotes. I am equally certain that Sheed Fan never read Origin.
This discussion started over Adams apologizing for a gaffe. It could have ended quickly and humorously with animal analogies, had it not been for white male resentment that a person actually apologized for a mistake. Then they had to drag in everyone else they loathe; transgender people, and now science.
