Anybody got a link? I bet he doesn't look as miserable as at the Clippers' press conference...

L*kers are quickly moving up my board of favorite teams. From 30th a year ago to 28th now (#30 = South Beach and #29 = Boston).

lol...gee thanks guys

This is a new level of acceptance for me. When Jerome Kersey joined the Lakers, I disowned him retroactively until after he retired. That I don't wish physical pain on Blake because he's a Laker is new.

So...BLANKY or Blaker? What's the official nickname now? Or both? Make new nicknames, but keep the old...one is silver and the other gold.

I just hope he never opts for a fake tan. Steve Blake with skin pigment is just wrong.

So ... I've got a little crow to eat. I railed against "Blank" the whole first half of last season because he was really shitting the bed (PER of something like 7-8) and I still stand by the assertion that Miller should have started over him, but I now wish we would have traded Bayless and Catfish to that other LA team for Camby. I hate Blanky the starter, but he's a pretty ideal backup 1.

C'est la vie.

Happy trails Blaker.

EDIT: Fixed

So you would have resigned Blake? I mean, we could have had him again if we wanted.

I dunno... I think Armon Johnson might make us forget Blake eventually. I like his style.

I don't know if Blake would have come back. We already shipped him out twice. Plus his best shot at a ring came calling.

After being traded twice I don't think he wold have come back here for the 4 years 16 million. But yeah maybe I'd resign him if he wanted to come back, but I'd still want the Blazers to do everything they can to get a legit "star" to play there for the next 4 or 5 years. But he'd be a reliable veteran reserve, and probably a better investment than Wes Matthews as a 7M/year backup 2/3. Meh, whatever he's certainly no make it or break it kind of player.

If we could've had Blake AND Camby against the Suns, I think we would've stood a better chance. Blake had a very good game against Nash when we beat the Suns in the regular season.

Congratulations Lakers: your PG defense got upgraded from "non existent" to "adequate".

Travis Outlaw got the nickname because of his love of fishing and because he was from the South ... I think it was our radio analyst, Antonio Harvey who coined it.

I hope the L*kers go 0-82 next year with Kobe averaging 50 points a game and Blake averaging 20 assists a game. fuck them all!

Check the shoes:

Bwaahahahahahaha!!

Nik, I think you further confused him by writing "L*kers" when I think you meant "Clippers".

I am just glad I am the only one in town now......

While Blake may be a better current fit as a backup 1, Bayless is already as good an overall player as Blake with significant upside. I'd rather not needlessly trade away the more valuable player just for short-term fit on the bench.
