Patterson got hired as the CEO of the Phoenix NHL franchise today. The team release on his hiring is a tremendous work of spin:

Well, if Patterson fucks up the Coyotes as much as he did the Blazers, I kind of feel sorry for the 3 remaining Coyote fans.

Rose Garden-- no longer the Rose Garden.
Rose City Radio -- no longer has any sports stations.
Portland Trail Blazers -- turned around from a 2001 WCF to a 2005 KP-is-coach as we're starting Telfair and Ha.

Well, to be fair, he wasn't the reason the arena changed names (and it was 2000, not 2001).

Steve Patterson's only redeeming quality was pissing off Clownzano.

Did we ever decide between Patternash and Natterson?

The entire time he was here, it felt like we had a prevy uncle that made everyone uncomfortable as our team spokesperson.

Olshey may be a bit if a slick talker, but whenever Patterson spoke, I had this creepy feeling like I was about to get fondled under the table at Thanksgiving.

Cripes. Spin? That's the most inaccurate thing I've ever read regarding the Blazers.

Three? I thought the old guy moved to Florida and changed teams?

Funny how you can make anything look better on a resume than it actually was in real life.

Why no mention of the Oregon Arena Corporation bankruptcy that caused Paul Allen to lose ownership of the Rose Garden and put the Blazers up for sale? No mention of "the financial model is broken" after Paul lost control of the arena to Global Spectrum.

Patterson was a horrible team president. He almost cost this city their only professional sports team and he's taking credit for turning the franchise around???

I think it's time to update my resume. I have a gut feeling I'm about to discover a cure for Ebola. Might as well add it to my resume, just in case.

added to my cv:

Official Portland Trail Blazers digital content provider. Known as "The Wizard Mentor" because of his facility to take new sports analysts, such as "Bones" actor Eric Millegan and renown lawnmower John Lukrofka, and teach them about sabermetrics and other advanced statistical measures.

Oops, they spelled Reacharound Specialist wrong.
