(Stolen from Alonzo Mourning) Do you think we need a trade?

Be nice. I love me some Steve Blake. He tough, he's loyal (despite getting bounced back and forth), he's basketball smart, he loves Portland and he's got one of the hottest wives in the entire NBA.
He is the past. Let's keep it that way. History and doomed to repeat it and whatnot.

Id like something like this
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nqks57s

We get Justin Anderson, Devin Harris, Felton (Shame and Cut), and a 1st round pick).. We balance our roster, get a good young piece in Anderson, a backup PG, and get to send Felton on his way out the league. The Mavs get a starting SG until Wes gets back, and a center which they desperately need...

Kind of a moot point until/unless Henderson gets healthy. Right now he couldn't pass a physical.

Need? No. I'd try to get the best asset for our cap space. Ideally a first round pick. Cap space has never been worth less than this season though.

Sure try to trade Kaman and or Hendo if we can get a second round pick. I think they're both a tad overpaid and thus have less value than nothing. If we can absorb an even worth more less than nothing than them player(s) along with a pick it might be possible I suppose.

I expect the major moves next summer when Meyers, Harkless, Crabbe free agency is done. We will have a better idea of who we want to keep long term with Lillard.

Why does Henderson get bunched in with Kaman all the time? Their careers aren't on the same trajectory. Henderson is only 27 years old, since when is that considered the back end? If he is healthy he will be a big part of this team and who knows, maybe he'll stay beyond this season. He brings something that neither mccollum or crabbe bring and that's a legitimate post game, as well as the ability to get easy buckets by attacking the rim.

All I'm saying is don't be so quick to throw him aside.

I think it's because he's on a one year contract, and the centerpiece of that trade was Noah Vonleh. He's a slasher that has exciting highlight reels, but the offensive efficiency is poor. Also, it's not good for a guy who relies on his athleticism so much to be coming off a hip injury.

He reminds me of a poor-mans Gerald Wallace at SG, and look how fast Gerald faded.

Yeah I agree and make the same statement often. I will caution however athletic wings deteriorate rapidly as they approach 30. Gerald Wallace went from borderline allstar to 15th man scrub in just over two years.

Gerald Wallace had very little skill to his game.
