Most of it will still happen in the US, but it looks like seven will have to go to Russia via the upside down to save...oh almost a spoiler there.

Alot of characters still remain in Hawkins so it makes sense we will see the small town again, but...

Eleven and the fam has moved and someone (Hopper? Brenner?) Is being held captive in Russia.

We are not in Hawkins anymore indeed. Stranger Things is branching out.
