I was bored and looked this up.

Since 89-90 (I didn't care enough to look before that), the Blazers have had a better 12 game start a total of 3 times (90-91, 99-01 and 13-14 seasons). And they had the same record 5 times (89-90, 92-93, 99, 14-15, 18-19).

What does it mean?

Nothing really, just an interesting observation.

The interesting thing to me is how recent one of those 12 game starts was (18-19). Cause I don’t remember ever being this excited about the 9-3 record that year.

What this record has taught me is I’d rather have a great defense than a great offense. A great defense can always find a Seth Curry, LouWill, Clarkson, etc to bail them out. Defense takes more than one guy.

it's probably best to have good balance. But a good defense will keep you in a lot of games

We actually led the West at 12-5 that season. Finished with 3rd seed. Made WCF. Fun year.

[green] damnit, I jinxed them. [/green]
