Classes pointless
So this gentleman is getting almost $36,000 in tuition, room and board paid for instead of some other student, while not being very good at his "job", which is mandated not to exceed 20 hours per week...and he seems to think that "we ain't come to play SCHOOL" at THE Ohio State University.
Do you think this guy's the exception, or the rule? I'm a bit spoiled by going to Navy, where our football team was decent but the players still had to go to many of the same difficult classes and were expected to perform on the same level as "regular" students. But it seems like every couple of years there's someone like this (I'm leaving out College BB b/c there's a strong one-and-done culture that doesn't even make players go to class) in football that makes you scratch your head and wonder.
Jones' Twitter said:Ohio State third-string quarterback Cardale Jones made his feelings about attending classes clear Friday on Twitter.
"Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL classes are POINTLESS," he wrote.
Jones is behind Braxton Miller and Kenny Guiton on the depth chart and has not played a down for Ohio State.
Jones signed with the Buckeyes in February 2011, but spent last year at a military prep school in Virginia to boost his academics, the Detroit Free Press reported.
