QUOTE

Ohio -- A high school student who tricked football fans from a crosstown rival into holding up signs that together spelled out, "We Suck," was suspended and banned temporarily from extracurricular activities for the prank, according to the school's principal.

Kyle Garchar, a senior at Hilliard Davidson High School in suburban Columbus, said he spent about 20 hours over three days plotting the trick, which was captured on video and posted on the video-sharing Web site YouTube. He said he was inspired by a similar prank pulled by Yale students in 2004, when Harvard fans were duped into holding up cards with the same message.

Either he is very very smart or the other school is very very stupid.

I think that's a gross overreaction. The message didn't contain any kind of profanity. It was just a good, clean prank. This country has lost it's sense of humor.

Great prank. And too deep of a punishment.

That's an amazing prank, props to this kid for figuring it out. I think the school is over reacting however as it isn't like he spelled out profanity.

The punishment was pretty mild. No big deal.

Haha, that was a good prank.

Props to the kid.

total props to the kid, who will be remembered forever in that town....the beauty of that type of situation is that your parents likely think its hilarious and that the school overreacted, and being suspended when your parents think it was unjust is fantastic....its a serious vacation....even if he is in touble with his parents, its a small price to pay for being a legend....

LOL, proof our educational system isn't as bad as we think. Well, maybe it is proof our education system sucks... all it seems to have done was punished the kid who figured out how to do something pretty sophisticated on its own.

HAHAHA that was an awesome prank i wish i could do somethin like that

He didn't do anything bad, why get baned?

Wonder if he sues the school...
