So you agree it's real, but it's only 1/2 as bad as the chicken littles say?

Okey doke.

I've never denied global warming is happening. Where did the glaciers that covered the great lakes go? Hmmmm????

We sure were pumping out the CO2 10,000 years ago, right? /sarcasm

This guy is a climate change propagandist with a reputation for misquoting scientific claims...Hardly the first time he's written an article like this.

I've never denied global warming is happening.

Right, it's happening, but it's not a problem. It's happening, but everyone who says it's happening is corrupt. It's happening, but there's nothing we should do about it. It's happening, but the arctic sea ice is increasing as compared to last year. It's happening, but every shred of data that might possibly suggest it isn't happening, I'm going to post, no matter how out of context or misleading the source.

It's happening, but it's not anything we contribute to or can do anything about.

But as Rahm Emmanuel once told the president, "never let a good 'crisis' go to waste."

It's raining somewhere. They measure it! The world is going to flood!

Re: Stunning satellite images show summer ice cap is thicker and covers 1.7million sq

Damn, that looks a lot like post #21 in this thread.

Of course anything that shows AGW isn't real is going to be "rebutted" or what's in the link.

Re: Stunning satellite images show summer ice cap is thicker and covers 1.7million sq

So you cite a left wing British newspaper making ridiculous scaremonger claims about AGW. Barfo would be proud!

I couldn't not share it after I found it!

This is also too good not to share:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...espite-Al-Gore-s-prediction-ICE-FREE-now.html

The speech by former US Vice-President Al Gore was apocalyptic. ‘The North Polar ice cap is falling off a cliff,’ he said. ‘It could be completely gone in summer in as little as seven years. Seven years from now.’

So you cite a left wing British newspaper making ridiculous scaremonger claims about AGW. Barfo would be proud!

Have you ever looked at the site your link came from?

The Daily Mail looks like Britain's version of the National Enquirer.

Another source.

http://www.reportingclimatescience....ta-shows-arctic-ice-volume-has-increased.html

“One of the things we’d noticed in our data was that the volume of ice year-to-year was not varying anything like as much as the ice extent – at least in 2010, 2011 and 2012... We didn’t expect the greater ice extent left at the end of this summer’s melt to be reflected in the volume. But it has been, and the reason is related to the amount of multiyear ice in the Arctic.” said Rachel Tilling from the UK’s Centre for Polar Observation and Modelling, who led the study into Arctic sea ice thickness, and was quoted in an ESA press release.

Yep. It sure was ironic how the climate change scientist believed the hype and went to the antarctic and got stuck in ice they didn't believe could be there.

Did you know that global warming is going to tip off the aliens that we're sufficiently advanced that they should come and invade?

OK, now I'm scared. We better do something!

And the icebreaker that went to rescue them got stuck in the ice, too. Must have been some serious ice.

You really need to read your own links.

On the expedition website, one of the nine stated scientific goals was to "explore changes in ocean circulation caused by the growth of extensive fast ice and its impact on life in Commonwealth Bay".

Just like a person can drown in a flash flood during a drought.

Only a moron would steer a boat into a dangerous situation. Surely his computer model could have told him where the ice was, right?

Including 2014, sea ice extent for January is declining at a rate of 3.2% per decade relative to the 1981 to 2012 average, or at a rate of 47,800 square kilometers (18,500 square miles) per year. January 2014 is the fourth lowest extent in the satellite record, behind 2005, 2006, and the record low January 2011.

Our navy had to rescue the clueless idiots who got stuck. The chinese icebreaker failed at the rescue as well. Sometimes heroes run in the direction of the danger to save others. But the climate scientist put our Navy and Marines and the Chinese vessel at risk.

If it weren't so ironic, it would be deadly serious. But it's hilarious.

BTW, did Algore's powerpoint deck have the aliens bit in it?

Sounds like the ice stays the same, just some of it moves from land to water or from water to land.

Big deal.
