Summer "BIG Swing" trade

I like him and would gladly swap Grant for him.
As long as his contract is better I'd do it too.

If he gets a full MLE offer does anyone think the Warriors match? They have luxury tax issues and he normally doesn't play for them.

He turned down 30 mil a year. You'd need it close enough to match Grant. I think it needs to start at 23/year to have a chance.

Sounds about right for the Blazers. Evan Turner 2.0!

Except he's not even in his prime and he's already shown to be very productive offensively. Both of which are very different from when we got Evan. Also, Kuminga is an elite athlete.

wait...in the "Big Swing" thread we're talking about Kuminga? There should be a "Big Swing & Miss" thread
Ok, Id trade Ayton, Scoot, Simons, Grant & picks for Banchero, Suggs, da Siva & salary match. At the very least an In the Park hr.

Is there a difference? The whole thread is unrealistic. I thought that was the point of "Big Swing".

We don't really even know what we have in the backcourt. Let's not jump the gun.

After a season of Scoot and Shaedon starting we can reassess.
Kind of mind boggling we still haven't tried that after multiple years of "building the team around Scoot and Shaedon" as Cronin said we were doing.

There's a total of ONE player who had been on the Blazers roster longer than Sharpe.

I know but Wiz was looking for a big swing.....
That is a helluva swing. I would love it. I think you knocked your reply to the OP out of the park!

This all but guarantees we would be a mediocre team for a long time.

….why would we EVER trade Simons to Orlando for Black?

the Blazers are going to need scoring. If Ant gets traded, it best be for a shooter.

Joker and Murray are their best two players with Gordon third. Porter? He needs a new environment because he’s been non-effective in these playoffs. Jeremy Grant would fit the Nuggets. Scoot can play point and Murray can play the 2-guard. Timelord provides some depth at Center.

Godon is my key target with Porter Jr. a throw-in and/or for use in a 3-way deal.

You didn't give any thought as to why Denver would do the deal.

I don't see a compelling argument for them to move off of Gordon. He's a decent value contract and it would be difficult to replace what he gives the team (much less improve) given his contract.

I can see 'some' argument for Denver moving off of MPJ. In theory, swapping MPJ for Grant could make sense since Grants contract is $6M less... but Denver would need additional incentive.

MPJ is not a move that helps Portland - so they shouldn't give up more value here...

Lmaoooooo wut?

Denver would laugh at us. Hang up. Then call us back to laugh again. Then hang up. Then when they see us the first time next year they'd laugh again.

This is bar none one of the worst trades ive ever seen. There's nothing good at all.

Yeah I don't specifically like that deal for us but I hate it worse for Denver. I don't think the three players we send out bring back those two players let alone an unconditional pick six drafts after the one coming up, along with those two players. Nah... Denver hangs up laughing and the move doesn't even make sense for our roster.

Joe is like "How about Rob Williams, Jerami Grant and Scoot Henderson for Gordon and MPJ?"

Whoever the fuck the Nuggest have running the show after firing everyone is like, "No thanks Joe I don't think that really gets us closer to where we're trying to get."

Joe says, "Well, why don't you through in your 2031 first rounder with no protections and we'll call it good."

Call drops.

Thanks for your support! Let’s hear your brilliance. Have a trade proposal you care to share?

ok, I will negotiate with you. Note: I believe Grant will add more to this Nugget team than Porter, Jr. And I don’t want Porter as a starter on the Blazers (could be an interesting 6th man), so allow me to counter:

Denver sends Porter, Jr. to Golden State State and a 2nd round pick to Portland;
Portland sends Grant and Rupert to Denver;
Golden State sends Kuminga to Portland and a conditional 2027 1st round pick to Denver.

New environments for Grant in Denver;
Kuminga excells in Portland;
Porter, Jr. finds a better fit next to Curry in Golden State
Draft picks are traded to balance things out. Rupert is thrown in (maybe he goes to GS rather than Denver. Opens a roster spot in Portland for Flagg :dancewithme:
