4 words that puts summer leagues in perspective......... Qyntel Woods Nic Batum.........

Probably a pretty dumb question, but if I'm thinking of attending a couple of days is there really any point in buying tickets in advance? Seems like the arenas are usually only half full....

Those summer league game don't even come close to selling out.

There's usually not even a line to buy tickets the day of, takes about a minute to get them. You'll be good

Nice overview of Vegas:
link has review for top 3 of all teams.

Here's the blazers:

Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard: A fiendish worker who arrives in the league as a knockdown shooter, pick-and-roll practitioner and attacker. We haven't seen a workout regimen from a prospect like this since Blake Griffin was running up sand dunes with ankle weights. Check out the "License to Lillard" video series at Lillard's YouTube channel.

Wesley Matthews: Every year there's an NBA veteran who packs his duffel for Las Vegas, even though the team didn't give him marching orders. Matthews told Jason Quick of the Oregonian in April that he wants to improve his post and isolation games and will use the week in the desert as a laboratory.

Meyers Leonard: The 7-foot-1 rookie is absolutely ripped and can run the floor like Blake Griffin. Jeff Zigglitt of USA Today describes the difficult circumstances of Leonard's upbringing after the center's father was killed in a bicycle accident when Leonard was 6 years old.

They may as well introduce the Blazers summer league roster as "Not LaMarcus Aldridge."

so how does the seating work? can you meet the players after the game? I saw online that they had something like that.

Seating is first come first serve, with specific sections blocked off by tape for coaches, agents, scouts, media and such. Oh, and the courtside seats (just chairs on the sideline) are reserved. Last time I went there was almost a fight between and ultimate douche-bro and a ~60 year old man about saving seats. They usually have a player from the "home team" out in the lobby signing autographs and taking pictures after the game. It's either a draft pick or the best player on the team. The unknown players will pretty much just walk around wherever, whenever and even just sit in the stands with the rest of the fans before or after their game. The better known players are harder to find just walking around, but there are always a bunch of former players standing around talking. It's pretty cool.

Most of the games are in the Cox Pavillion, but there are often games going on in the Thomas & Mack center at the same time so you can pick between them or just switch back and forth. Don't even have to go outside, and I believe they have different start times so if you wanted, you could see the end of every game.

Damn I wish I was going this year.

sweet. game is at Thomas and Mack on Sunday. 730..will probably get there around that time. lol.

 You're right, a majority of the roster is playing in Vegas.

PG: Lillard | Smith
SG: Matthews | Williams | Barton
SF: Batum | Claver | Babbitt
PF: Aldridge | Hickson
C: Leonard | Freeland

Even better, if this wasn't an Olympic year, we would have two more as well

Congrats, you should have a good time. Let us know if anything interesting not otherwise covered by the media happens - especially if you seen any Minny fans!

Looks like I'm going. I'm seeing next Friday and Saturday games. No wife, no kids. Just hoops, blackjack and booze for two days in sunny Las Vegas.

Nice. Save some money and hit the Pai Gow tables

Plumlee is making me eat crow. I can see a birdman type of a career.

Oh, and Pendergraph is airballin' baby-hooks like no tomorrow.

Plumlee looks like he has a good motor. Those damn white centers.

Vesely is gonna be really good. I am hoping Victor Claver still plays like him

Supposedly the Pacers brass asked "who's the next Jeff Foster in this draft class?" and the scouts chorused as one "Miles Plumlee". He's even got a dorky haircut.
