Summer trade targets

A straight up swap would take some heavy consideration to accept or turn down.
I like Middleton a ton, but we already know Nurk has great chemistry with the team, fills a position of urgent need, and is only going to get better. Need to find another way to get the Middle Man, and add him to our core three.

I would not take Favors especially for Nurk. He been injury for last 3 season.

Kelly Oubre Jr, Stanley Johnson, Tobias Harris, Marvin Williams, Khris Middleton, a lottery teams 2018 first rd pick for two of our 2017 firsts.

My main targets if I'm NO are Thaddius Young or Jahlil Okafor. I'd give up one first to land either of these players.

Other targets that teams would likely ask for a first but I'd at the very least pause if I was NO are.
Gallo
Trevor Booker
Quincy Acy
Tobias Harris
Patrick Patterson
Randle

Middleton would be a great summer trade get. BUT, I doubt the Bucks will trade him.

When he was out with an injury, the Bucks did not do well. As soon as he returned, they started to win a lot more games.

I would trade all three of our first round picks, and any player not named Dame, CJ, Nurkic or Vonley for him. And start Middleton at SF.

Raptors gotta find money to pay Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka, I bet we can get DeMarre Carroll while not giving up much.

Why???? He's a poor man's Aminu who makes > 2x as much.

We're already WAY over the luxury tax threshold. We need to shed salary, not take on more bad contracts. Sure, Paul will pay luxury tax for a needle mover. Carroll would move the needle - in the wrong direction.

I think he's misused in Toronto, I think he can be a D and 3 guy that can actually hit a three consistently. I may be biased cause I've loved his game from his days in Utah.

Middleton's a SG/SF, Parker is a PF.

They have Brogdon who's more of a 2. They need a PG and C, as well as a solid backup 4 and emergency starter.

Therefore, you could trade assets to BKN, they could trade Lin and Lopez to MIL, and we could give them Aminu while taking back Middleton.

Lin / Delly
Brogdon / ?
Giannis / Snell
Parker / Aminu
Lopez / Henson

That's a pretty damn good squad right there. Lopez is probably as valuable as Middleton and they get two more good pieces. You also have Giannis surrounded with 4 deadly shooters. Brogdon also moves to his more natural position.
I know Jabari is a different position but my thoughts on that is they probably wanna wait and see how Jabari plays when he comes back before moving Middleton. Because Greek Freak/Middleton/Jabari is a good big 3.

He really fell of a cliff when he left ATL. He's had injury issues. He's not the player he once was. Unfortunately he's paid like a player he never will be.

Freak/Jabari/Lopez is a good big 3 as well. Brogdon has Avery Bradley potential. Lopez fits great with Giannis because he's a stretch-5 who's a good pick n roll player as well.

Lopez is a nice player but does Milwaukee take the risk with his injury history? Especially when they have a poor man's version of him on their bench in Monroe.

Lopez is better than Monroe on every aspect. In my proposal they get their starting PG in Lin, and a good F in Aminu. We could also give them the MEM or CLE pick to sweeten the pot. I think theyd heavily consider it.

The way I'd do it:

BKN Gets: Crabbe, Harkless, Leonard, CLE 1st
MIL Gets: Lopez, Lin, Aminu, MEM Pick
We Get: Middleton

You could draft Bridges or Justin Jackson with our pick, and all you have to do is get rid of Turner (attach a future pick) to have over $10M in cap space to sign someone like James Johnson.

Then maybe you try to send Napier, Davis and a 2nd to NYK for O'Quinn.

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
McCollum (24) / Middleton (24)
Middleton(12) / Jackson (20) / Johnson (16)
Johnson (14) / Vonleh (24) / O'Quinn (10)
Nurkic (32) / O'Quinn (16)

I'd take a flier on Stanley Johnson or Mario Hezonja if they were on the cheap.

Jae Crowder might become available if Boston signs Hayward.

Trading Crabbe would be the opposite of "great." I feel like I'm taking crazy pills every time I have to defend the guy. I'd trade CJ first yeah I said it fuck you.

Mario Hezonja.

Been saying this for a while now.

I don't really know what people like about him. I have watched him closely since his Barcelona days and also followed him with national team and he has always been an immature overrated guy in my opinion. When they took him 5th I thought it was a joke.

Portland should concentrate on unloading Meyers and/or Turner. They're going to need to get some breathing room under the luxury tax to resign Vonleh and Nurkic in 18-19
