• Friday will mark the fourth and final regular season meeting between Portland and Phoenix.

• Phoenix defeated Portland in the regular season opener, 104-91, ending a five-game opening night win streak for the Trail Blazers against the Suns. The Trail Blazers defeated the Suns, 90-89, on Nov. 13 in Portland and Phoenix beat Portland in the third matchup, 120-106, on Nov. 27 in Phoenix.

• LaMarcus Aldridge (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Robin Lopez (13 points, 15 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles in the team’s 90-89 win over the Suns on Nov. 13 in Portland.

• Thomas Robinson tied career-high 15 points on six field goals and grabbed a season-high eight boards on the Nov. 13 game against Phoenix.

• The Oct. 30 loss was the first opening night loss for Portland since the 2008-09 season opener.

• Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge scored a combined total of 60 points (Lillard scored 32, Aldridge scored 28) in the first matchup against Phoenix, totaling almost two-thirds of the team’s total points.

• The Suns broke the Trail Blazers’ longest current home winning streak against any one team (7) with the 102-98 win in Portland on Feb. 29, 2013.

• The Suns won the season series against the Trail Blazers last season, 2-1.

• Robin Lopez was originally drafted by the Suns in the first round (15th pick overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft and played four seasons with Phoenix from 2008-12, averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 242 games.

• The Suns’ Channing Frye played two seasons with the Trail Blazers from 2007-09, posting averages of 5.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 141 games.

I was at Suns/Clips tonight. We had better be ready for Friday, because the Suns are pissed. They were so fucked over by the refs in this game. The killer was when Matt Barnes jumped up with the ball, landed, and then passed to CP3 for a really long three pointer with the shot clock buzzer going off.

The Suns play hard and they make the extra pass. Bledsoe had a terrible game, but Gerald Green played really well. Also the Morris boys bring their lunch bucket, so Robinson had better have an active game. Finally, Tucker is one strong mofo.

Even though they lost, color me impressed by Phoenix.

No doubt Phoenix will play with some urgency. We better as well, because when we don't , we suck. It is all about energy and Phoenix plays with a lot of energy. I don't want to see the Blazers wait until the third quarter before they decide to bring it.
This game now worries me.

PHX will play with a greater sense of urgency - they're fighting to make the POs. We've essentially clinched, and are only fighting for HC.
Also, PGs - we get torched by 'em. And PHX has two that are very capable with the ball in their hands.
IMO, we need to win this game more for our psyche than for the standings.

My guess is it will be a dog fight throughout, and will come down to the last shot. Which worries me. When the game is on the line you want Damian with the ball. (Bigs keep you in it, guards win it) But Bledsoe's D is a problem

We need to win a close one. This is going to be a great game IMO.
