Eagles vs Pats
Sunday 04 February, 2018

a replay of SB XXXIX or 2005....

as much as I can't stand the Patsies, not even sure I'm gonna' watch this one...
I need a new bottle of Patriovix-

I think the Eagles make a game of it but typically Brady and the Pats pull away in the 2nd half.

I think the same; so will take a hand full of Patriovix at start of game. Will take the rest of the bottle at halftime...

Vegas Odds are haywire as they've ever been, and/or often are: whatever odds your looking for there's a bookie to take your money...

the most worthless article or #1 reason to not bet in Vegas.

The first pharma commercial I did not ignore.

I work in Eagle Mania Land. I work part time in a town across the river from Philly. Thank God I can take it. For the game, it would be a fresh treasure to finally see a gritty blue collar town like Philly win it! thLKV2T74V.jpg

I've heard Philly's when put in a bag (to go) has to have the bottom fall out of it, (from the juicy things), to be considered a good Philly, eh?? Me, I unfortunately wouldn't know.??? Your take Lil'???

We have a Jersey Mike's here, yet those Philly's aren't authentic enough, or so I've been told by those who have had better, or the real deal from Philly to the Eastern Seaboard....

:biglaugh::roflmao:

honestly those Hot Pockets aren't that bad in a pinch.
Costco sales a frozen Philly, which imo sux, not enough meat or cheese, and never juicy, or greasy enough...

Seriously though I've been to Philadelphia before to visit a friend and they are delicious.

I really can't give you the best in Philly but in my neck of the woods in Mercer County NJ I find great delight at Jo Jo's Tavern in Hamilton Twp.

The two most famous are Geno's and Pat's. We must not forget Delessandro's! Honorable high esteem mentions are Iskabibble, Cosmi's, McNallys, Steve's Prince of Steaks, Shanks, Sonny's, Philips, spOt gourmet burgers, Joes Steak and Soda Shop and Oregon Steaks. Vegetarians will starve in this town or be called demeaning names. When one orders the cheese choices are Provolone, American and Wiz (that's Cheese wiz: I have no idea what is in that as it comes in a can). Provolone has a melted stringy texture. The word "with" means onions or not. So, you cannot waste time in line. You must be precise or receive scorn from those behind you and the dude behind the counter. I like to order Large...Provolone, with..........Yeah, Philly also has Mutters museum where oddities of Science are featured. They actually have a wall of skulls with peoples names and reputations such as "-----" "Idiot.

^^^^ great reply Stamp!!!

Wiz, literally, skull and crossbones of cheeses, as is that creamy Velveeta I once loved in Mac&Cheese....

Do you recall ever seeing a NFL Life of Dick Vermeil? I recall he (during his coaching days in Pa, and latter in the documentary), went' a fairly infamous Philly Cheesesteak Bar & Grill in Philly, which had a Cheesesteak named after him....That place looked like one I'd never leave, even after closing hours, and of course I'd weigh 50lbs heavier. One reason, (no kidding) I left Luzianna, the food was out of this world, and my cholestrol was always at blow proportions. I came back to So Cal and shed 64 lbs, I gained in the South over 5 yrs.... Some of the best BBQ I've ever seen/had was in Ga,...
best overall local food? hands down So Luzianna ... cholestrol heart attack capital of the US...

...thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week!...don't forget to tip your waitress.

I like the Ham and Cheese Hot Pockets.

Hell Yeah, all of 'em...!!!

these days the Doc has strong armed me, to a bland horrid diet, no dairy (cheese, ice cream), no fats of any sorts, no sugars, a helluva lot less carbs...thus no more cheesesteaks, pizzas, or hot pockets. I need to move back to a more produce/veggies/fruits friendly area, I wish....

it's alright tho' "don't cry from me argentina"...

in the meantime, I'll make tree bark and sea-weed taste like a (few) tasty delicious greasy chee-boigahs....(how I'm not sure yet) :smiley-hmm::nerd:

Speaking of FOOD, what's on everyone's Menu(s) for Sunday...
:meat::eatveggies::drinkapint::icecream::chef::stirthepot:

:bwpopcorn::popcorn::bwpopcorn:
(Oreo Popcorn -wtf-)

or should I say how many bags of Cheetos will you eat....

Thank You my friend.. I was in NO in '98 and enjoyed gator, which tastes like chicken. Loved their Po Boys too. Got drunk and threw up in a gutter for tradition sake. Enjoyed beer at the "Bulldog". BBQ is king in the South and #1 for cholesterol!

Anything offered free or not moving on the dish.

...lol...I was just kidding about the hot pockets...I won't touch them!...... My Son is a chef and we're always joking about actually eating them.

...and yes, the ingredients are scary;

UNBLEACHED ENRICHED FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, MALTED BARLEY FLOUR, NIACIN, IRON, THIAMINE MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID), WATER, FULLY COOKED HICKORY HAM AND WATER PRODUCT, 25% OF WEIGHT IS ADDED INGREDIENTS, GROUND AND FORMED, NATURAL HICKORY SMOKE FLAVOR ADDED (CURED WITH WATER, SUGAR, SALT, SODIUM PHOSPHATE, DEHYDRATED PORK BROTH, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, CARRAGEENAN, NATURAL HICKORY SMOKE FLAVOR, SODIUM ERYTHORBATE, SODIUM NITRITE), REDUCED FAT CHEDDAR CHEESE (PASTEURIZED PART SKIM MILK, SKIM MILK, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH*, CULTURES, SALT, FLAVORS*, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE*, ANNATTO, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, ENZYMES, *INGREDIENTS NOT IN REGULAR CHEDDAR CHEESE), IMITATION CHEDDAR CHEESE (WATER, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, CASEIN, SOYBEAN OIL, WHEY, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF SALT, SODIUM ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM PHOSPHATE, LACTIC ACID, SODIUM CITRATE, NATURAL FLAVOR, ANNATTO [COLOR]), SEASONING (WHEY, CHEDDAR/BLUE CHEESES [PASTEURIZED MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES], BUTTERMILK, NATURAL FLAVOR, MALTODEXTRIN, COCONUT OIL, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, CULTURED WHOLE MILK, CITRIC ACID, LACTIC ACID, EXTRACTIVES OF ANNATTO AND TURMERIC), PALM OIL, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, SEASONING (BREAD CRUMBS [BLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR, DEXTROSE, YEAST, SALT], SEASONING [CHEDDAR AND BLUE CHEESES {MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES}, WHEY, SALT, DEXTROSE, DRIED ONION, NATURAL FLAVOR, SOYBEAN OIL, GARLIC POWDER, CITRIC ACID, LACTIC ACID, SPICE, EXTRACTIVES OF PAPRIKA AND ANNATTO]), SUGAR, SEASONING (WHEY, SOYBEAN OIL, MALTODEXTRIN, CHEDDAR/BLUE CHEESES [MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES], NONFAT MILK, SALT, NATURAL FLAVORS, MILK PROTEIN CONCENTRATE, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, CULTURED MILK, CITRIC ACID, EXTRACTIVES OF ANNATTO, PAPRIKA, AND TURMERIC [COLOR]), FRACTIONATED PALM OIL, SALT, YEAST, DOUGH CONDITIONER (CALCIUM SULFATE, SALT, L- CYSTEINE HYDROCHLORIDE, GARLIC POWDER, TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, ENZYMES), DOUGH CONDITIONER (DISTILLED MONOGLYCERIDES WITH ASCORBIC ACID AND CITRIC ACID [ANTIOXIDANTS]), EGG YOLKS, LACTIC ACID, WHEY, SOY FLOUR, EGG WHITES, SOYBEAN OIL. CONTAINS: MILK, EGG, SOY, WHEAT INGREDIENTS.

I know this ingredients list is overwhelming, so let’s look at a few of the ingredients.

Soybean Oil: Soy is higher in phytoestrogen than any other food. Phytoestrogens are plant based estrogen that mimic the estrogen in our body. Consuming high amounts of phytoestrogen, is the leading cause of breast cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, infertility and low libido.
-Soy is also the king of cell Goitrogens (thyroid suppressors).
-Phytlates found in soy block mineral absorption.
-Also found in Soy, Trypsin inhibitors, inhibits proper digestion of protein.
-93% of Soy is genetically modified.

Modified starch: This is treated with acid to lower viscosity.
-These starches are difficult for the body to digest.
-The gluten in modified starch can make celiac disease worse.
-People can be allergic
-It may lower blood sugar levels making it dangerous for diabetics
-May interfere with blood sugar levels during and after surgery. Modified starches should be avoided 2 weeks before scheduled surgery
-Causes nausea, gas, abdominal cramping, diarrhea, bloating and vomiting

Carrageenan: Keep your eye out because this ingredient can sometimes be in even “organic” products.
-It lowers blood pressure, slows blood clotting
-Causes intestinal lesions, ulceration and malignant tumors
-The past 4 decades, Scientists have repeatedly warned carrageenan is not safe for human consumption

Sodium citrate: This is actually used to treat high acidity levels in blood and urine and should be used with caution. It should not be ingested by people with inflammatory bowl diseases (example: ulcerated colitis) or any gastrointestinal conditions.
-Can cause allergic reactions, muscle twitching or cramps, nervousness, irritability, seizures, bloody diarrhea, stomach pain and vomiting

L-cysteine: is a softening agent that is added to speed up the processing of baked goods. Sometimes this agent is lab created but most often it actually comes from cow horns, human hair, and chicken feathers that has been dissolved in acid to isolate L-cysteine and then it’s added to baked goods.

Casein: is an animal protein found in (cow) dairy products. Casein promotes cancer in all stages. It is a strong mucus forming substance, clogging and irritating the respiratory system. Animal protein allergies are very common.

Annatto: is a red plant extract that has been associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, with additional discomforts such as abdominal pain and bloating.
In addition to the long list of nasty ingredients, In 2014 Nestle USA recalled over 238,000 cases of its Hot Pockets. Their beef provider, Rancho Feeding Corporation sold “Unwholesome Meat Products Produced Without the Benefit of Full Inspection”. This massive recall of nearly 9 million pounds of meat was from “diseased and unsound” animals. Nestle stated that “a small quantity of meat” from the Ranchero Feeding Corp was used to make Hot Pockets. The USDA described the food as “unfit for humans”.
