Broncs 24 Panthers 10 late 4th qtr.

...and oh, it's great to see Denver's defense rough up Carolina's big mouthed QB and make him eat his words...it was a pleasure to watch.

...a big dose of humility with a side order of crow for Newton.

Rick, you hit the pool jackpot. Congrats. I'll bet you
there are some in that pool who already yelling, "Fixed!"LOL

Yes I did, $500 for the half & another $500 for the final. YIPPEEEE! Life is good.

So glad to see Cam get humbled and then he acted exactly like the spoiled brat we knew he was afterwards.

^^^ yup, like I said, I really enjoyed watching that loud mouthed punk get "punked"...and instead of showing even a little class in defeat, after the game he decided instead to show his lack of class and sportsmanship;

Superman in Sadness Today!

There we have it....race apology if ever I heard one. They would not have soft peddled a white QB acting like an ass there.

...^^^ Denver defense was his kryptonite.

Amen - Congrats to the Broncos, Peyton and that terrific fierce Denver defense.
Manning is a fine man, has been a great all time QB, a gentleman and a true PRO.
Mr. & Mrs Manning have done a wonderful job and should be very proud of their two fine sons.
No doubt about it- it's been proven time and again that (big) games are won in the trenches.
The Giants were able to beat a great reg season team (Pats 18-0) AND a great QB Brady in Supe Bowl XL11 (2007) by putting relentless pressure on the QB.
It may sound overly simplistic but the name of the game is still "kill the QB" (old school term). I know this isn't a big secret but if teams in future Super Bowls can scheme and figure out ways to put consistent pressure on the opposing QB, they'll have a GOOD chance of winning the game.
But of course on the other hand, that's where the "other team's" offensive line comes into to play.

Back to the trenches......have a good offensive line and a good pass rushing D line is a great start to building a GOOD team....and finish it with (of course) a GOOD QB.

Why Pro's have to cry in public when they lose, is not the way many of us were raised.
Going back to the 86 Series and seeing Boggs crying (with others) on the losing bench, was not what I believe to be good sportsmanship, ....

Seeing numerous Panther's crying on the bench, made me immediately think of the King of Cry Babies, ie Tom fkn Brady. Geezus Christo, it may be just a game, in which millions are bankrolled, but damn it, it IS just a game....so what that 15 Million or more were watching, take it to the showers and cry all you want. Some generation of sports losers passing on bad ideals to kids, then we wonder why kids have no respect in Little Lg, or Pop Warner.......AYSO...?

at the 1:20 mark (on being drafted late, and this is not even one of his classic crying meltdowns on the field)

Tom Brady is a fierce competitor, leader, ALL TIME great QB, and last I checked, he keeps his nose clean and is a gentleman.

I'll go out on a limb and say the world would be a better place if there were more "Tom Bradys" and less skumbags.

Football would of been better off, if there had never been a manchild named Tom Brady...

He couldn't hold let alone wear Joe Montana's Jock Strap....

and he still can't, and never will have the class Montana and company exude....never...!!!

...Brady doesn't have many fans outside the Bahsten area.

^^^You could tell that by the chorus of boo's he got last night when he was introduced.

That was funny when he got booed. Hey Rick are you going to take me on a date now that you won all that money??? :bgrin:

Tom Brady is an absolute all time great QB and leader of Championship teams.......

I'll leave the jealousy, ridiculous negative comparisons with other QBs and how many from outside the Bahsten area feel to....history.

Wow I cant even start on how far off you are with your comment on Brady.

1. Showing emotion is exactly what I want to show my kid. It shows that they worked so hard to come up short, it shows they actually care about winning. Not just collecting a paycheck. You really want your athletes to be robots? Shut off all emotion because they are paid a lot of money to display the talent we could only dream to have?

2. Joe Montana had the all time greatest receiver at his disposal, a second receiver in John Taylor that are both superior to any wide out (yes including Randy Moss) that Brady has ever had. He also had this guy named Roger Craig, who should one day get into the HOF not to mention Dwight Clark. He didnt get his KC team to the Super Bowl, not saying it was his fault but for someone who you are putting on such a mountain that Brady cant even wear his Jock Strap...wow...just wow.

hey its your opinion but there is a lot of disrespect to Brady. Ill take Brady over Peyton Manning in big games. and to me its a coin flip with Montana.

Brady & Manning in there prime......its a coin flip.

If Montana isn't you're unabashed #1 all time QB, then there is no point ever trying to have a discussion with someone with such a warped view of reality.

...Al, Brady's success is also just as much due to the talent around him as Montana's was, just sayin'.

...they are/were both products of a great system. And I think that you could have swapped teams with both of them, and both of them would still have had great success.

...not saying that I'm a big fan of Brady's... because some of the flack he and his team gets is deserved...and fwiw, I see no reason Roger Craig should be in the HOF...and Dwight Clark wasn't that great of a tight end.

...fwiw, Brady himself doesn't even see himself at Montana's level;

================================

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who was booed during pregame ceremonies honoring past Super Bowl MVPs, said in a radio interview before the game that he doesn't consider himself one of the game's all-time greatest players at his position.

Asked by host Jim Gray of Westwood One Radio about his place among the game's best, Brady said, "That is a helluva question and I wouldn't put myself in there."

Tom Brady said he'd be happy for Peyton Manning but also jealous of the QB winning the Super Bowl. "I think there are some incredible players that have played the position and a lot of guys do things differently to get the job done. You see different styles, different techniques," Brady said.

"When you look at me being a fan of Joe Montana; nobody ever did it better than Joe Montana. In a way, he was like the Michael Jordan of football. The style and the grace and the beauty of what Joe's style was, it never looked hard for Joe."
