Suppose Hillary is Indicted

I am so happy shes going down. F-that corrupt woman.

I could see Joe. The other two possibilities are Bernie and Elizebeth Warren.

There'd be support for both, but I think they're too far left for the Party to go that route.

I think Warren is between Hillary and Bernie and doesn't scare people with the socialist monicker

Okay, yeah it's Fox News, but I respect Catherine Herridge's work a lot:

So, suppose that Hillary is indicted within the next couple of months. What would that do to the election? My theory: Joe Biden is brought in out of the bullpen and sweeps to the nomination.

barfo will defend her even if she's found guilty.

I think I saw a poll today that ~60% of Democrats don't care if she's indicted, they'll vote for her come hell or high water.

that just blows my mind.

They say that now, but if Uncle Joe comes riding to the rescue of the Democrat Party with Obama's full endorsement, I doubt that would hold.

Oh, I believe they'll vote for her even if she's already in prison.

There are quite a few honest Democrats who don't like her in the first place, but people vote the "D" and chalk up the serial lying and criminal behavior to "vast right wing conspiracy tinfoil hat/LOL stuff"

Another poll.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ers_think_a_candidate_should_quit_if_indicted

Do Voters Think A Candidate Should Quit If Indicted?

Forty-six percent (46%) of all Likely U.S. Voters think a political candidate who is charged with a felony while running for office should immediately stop campaigning. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just as many (47%) feel that candidate should continue running until a court determines their guilt or innocence.

It is important to note that Rasmussen Reports did not include the name of any candidate or include any details in the question that would suggest a specific individual. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Fifty-four percent (54%) of Republicans think a candidate charged with a felony should stop campaigning at once, while 41% disagree. Among Democrats, those findings are reversed: Only 40% say the candidate should quit campaigning, but 53% think they should keep running until a court determines their guilt or innocence. Voters not affiliated with either major party are evenly divided.

...

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of voters think it’s likely Clinton broke the law by sending and receiving e-mails containing classified information through a private e-mail server while serving as secretary of State, with 42% who say it’s Very Likely.

(barfo's not in the 59%, of course)

Just 31% of voters trust Clinton.

(That includes barfo, no doubt)

No, I'm talking about the primaries. If Hillary is indicted and Biden throws his hat into the ring, would Democrats vote for her, Bernie, the other sap, or Biden? I think Uncle Joe, with Obama's backing, would get the nomination.

If, if, if.

Republican fantasies in advance of your inevitable defeat this year. Clinton will be better than any Republican, so she gets my vote. I'm for Sanders, but this is how elections work. You vote for the best one who wins the convention.

Even if Hillary deserves criminal charges, I see no way a leading presidential candidate of the the same political party of the sitting president would be indicted by the justice department.

That begs impeachment if she's elected. Obama and his people might face charges.

Obama might pardon her. That would end the investigations (plural) and it would be within the law.

First, I don't think there's any love lost between Obama and the Clintons. They tolerate each other out of convenience. I would bet that he would be much happier with a President Joe Biden than a President Hillary Clinton and, if he thought Hillary's mud would cost the Democrats the election, he'd turn on her in a minute.

Second, from the report I linked, there's a pretty good chance that the FBI agents and intelligence folks who are investigating this would raise a huge stink if Lynch turned a blind eye to solid evidence that Hillary is culpable of mishandling, probably intentionally mishandling, classified information. These guys all know the rules and they know that they wouldn't be cut any slack if they broke regulations on handling classified information. Petraeus was nailed for a lesser infraction.

Third, Lynch has a reputation as a pretty straight shooter as a former US Attorney. I don't see her risking her reputation by trying to sweep Hillary's mud under the carpet.

Not sure about that. Who has been found guilty that I've defended afterwards?

Until Bush is in prison for killing a million people, no one will take seriously fantasies of imprisoning Clinton for FUCKING E-MAILS. Without the legal system backing up their bully fantasies, Republicans are nothing.

Wrong as usual, Denny. I actually do think she broke the law.
Whether that amounts to a major crime or not, I'm not so sure.

.

I guess I trust her about the same as I trust any other politician.

I disagree. Bernie has mass appeal from the Democratic Party. If he taps Warren he guarantees a win IMHO.

If she's indicted that ensures a Bernie win. He'd be a fool not to tap EW. There's simply not a GOP ticket that can win against them.

Or you can say hello to President Trump.

"The law is the law"

So should they go after her with a terrorism law and a stiff mandatory sentence?

Bernie SMASHES all the other GOP candidates. Biden would not beat Bernie.

I hope she is indicted.

Sanders 44.3/Trump 42.3
Sanders 45/Cruz 41.7
Rubio 44/Sanders 43

SMASHES?
