"The law is the law"

-- barfo

So should they go after her with a terrorism law and a stiff mandatory sentence?

Sure, if they think they think it applies and think they can get a conviction.

barfo

What was he found guilty of again?

barfo

Lying to congress and the special prosecutor. He paid Paula Rice $900K to settle her lawsuit. He was disbarred from practicing law in Arkansas and by the Supreme Court. He avoided indictment by making a plea deal with the special prosecutor.

Did I say Bill Clinton? I meant Bill Cosby. Not much of a difference.

Maybe they can figure out that it was treason and have her shot.

Denny, you need to check in to reality. Once the ads begin about Trump's bankruptcies and narcissism, any Democrat, even Martin O'Malley, will beat him. Your fantasies will not trump Trump's many, many flaws.

Go Bernie! Go Hillary! Anyone other than some warmonger Republican, and there's only one exception. Why aren't you crying in your beer about the demise of Rand Paul? Can't make the cut for the next debate, refuses to attend the minor debate, his campaign is over. I wish he'd done better, and the cause is that you pretend Libertarians didn't shout out.

I don't think any of that involves a guilty verdict.

Bill Clinton/ Bill Cosby. Very clever, I think you are the first to say that.

Yes.. how isn't the rejection of Rand Paul a rejection of libertarianism? I was told that this was the Libertarian Century, but it sure doesn't look like it so far.

There you go, defending him after he accepted a guilty plea deal.

Like I said, barfo will defend her after she's convicted and serving time. Your lips say "no, no, no" but your actions say "yes, yes, yes"

Rand Paul isn't a Libertarian.

He's a republican with libertarian leanings.

That wasn't a defense. I'm just not sure you are technically correct.

He's a republican with libertarian leanings.

Right, the only one with libertarian leanings. And those leanings aren't appealing, apparently.

barfo

barfo

There is no defense, except your protests. He admitted guilt and accepted a lesser plea to avoid jail.

You like your president and presidential candidates rightfully impeached, taking bribes (that is the current FBI investigation see OP) and obstruction of justice?

Only if it's a democrat.

The agreement also includes an unequivocal admission of wrongdoing, with Clinton acknowledging that he gave false answers in his Jones deposition. As part of the deal, he was compelled to sign an "Agreed Order of Discipline" which states that he "knowingly" engaged in "conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice." That is the disciplinary equivalent of pleading guilty to obstruction of justice.

barfo

Why vote for a republican with libertarian leanings when you can vote for an actual Libertarian?

Ha ha. No one is going to do that either.

Disciplinary equivalent huh?

Doesn't sound like being found guilty.

Not that I am arguing that he didn't do the crime, he did. He just wasn't found guilty.

Yes, I'd rather my candidates lie about blowjobs and/or use private email servers than have serious corruption issues.

How about bombing Iraq on the day Lewinsky was to testify? That seems like an abuse of power. Wag the dog - change the headlines.

No one?

I'm positive you are technically incorrect.

Good point. The libertarian candidate will get a negligble percentage of the vote, but that still is a few voters. Thus libertarianism will once again be rejected, as it always is.

Better?

Too easy. Yet another post by you in his defense.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombing_of_Iraq_(1998)#Distraction_from_Clinton_impeachment_scandal

Some critics of the Clinton administration, including Republican members of Congress,[24] expressed concern over the timing of Operation Desert Fox.[25] The four-day bombing campaign occurred at the same time the U.S. House of Representatives was conducting the impeachment hearing of President Clinton. Clinton was impeached on December 19, the last day of the bombing campaign. A few months earlier, similar criticism was levelled during Operation Infinite Reach, wherein missile strikes were ordered against suspected terrorist bases in Sudan and Afghanistan, on August 20. The missile strikes began three days after Clinton was called to testify before a grand jury during the Lewinsky scandal and his subsequent nationally televised address later that evening in which Clinton admitted having an inappropriate relationship.

The Operation Infinite Reach attacks became known as "Monica's War" among TV news people, due to the timing. ABC-TV announced to all stations that there would be a special report following Lewinsky's testimony before Congress, then the special report was pre-empted by the report of the missile attacks. The combination of the timing of that attack and Operation Desert Fox led to accusations of a Wag the Dog situation.

Ron Paul got over 2,000,000 votes in the 2012 primaries. He didn't participate in most of them.

I'm quite sure you are technically incorrect. More like just plain wrong again.

If Hillary is indicted it will be time for a dance party!
Funny/sad how many still stand with her knowing her past and do not care if she broke several laws. Dems seem to just get a pass and usually the media lets them.
If she is indicted I bet the media will finally pile on her like they should. Just bring out the truth.
I believe Dems are holding Biden out, so by the time he comes in there will not be as much time to expose his dirt.

It aint 2012 anymore. Maybe libertarianism is less popular now than it was in 2012.

That's hilarious. So now 'some people suspect' is evidence of wrongdoing?

Yes, it's all a conspiracy.

If the Dems could hold Biden out, and if they believe Hillary is not going to make it, why didn't they just hold her out instead?

2m votes. Romney got 9M and the nomination. Hardly a "negligible" number.

It remains to be seen how Rand does in the end. He's not my favorite among the GOP candidates, and I am a Libertarian.

Seems more likely that not being actual Libertarian, he'll prove less popular.

Cruz is a tea party candidate. Seems pretty popular to me. Libertarian leaning.

Some people being the main stream press. Usually the in the bag for democrats, like... you.

According to your ilk, everything the main stream press says is wrong. So to you Clinton must be innocent.
