Yes and no.

The SC justices ultimately will decide for each case whether the president has immunity or not. This current SC will say yes for Trump and no for Biden.
 
Justice Jackson: president can replace attorney general. President can't poison attorney general to get rid of them.

According to the very argument SCOTUS accepted from Trump's attorneys, POTUS also could have SCOTUS members murdered as long as it's "official business."

Technically, according to yesterday's ruling, the current SCOTUS could effectively be purged before ever hearing the case. And, even then, according to Trump's attorney's argument, POTUS would have to be impeached first even to get to that point.

It may be my literal thinking, but the line I put in bold tells me that the any president, including the current president, has these powers. No lawyer, of course. But that is how my head interprets it.

Also the Supreme Court did just give Trump immunity because he tried to install himself as dictator in 2021 but failed, and they don’t want him to be disqualified from running because of that.

And SCOTUS left it vague enough that a president can do it and they can go back and say "it's not what we meant." However, Trump's representative was asked this actual scenario during arguments, tried to avoid answering it by saying such an action would be subject to criminal charge after an impeachment and removal and then, when pushed, said that, yes, that was how we interpret the powers of a president.

He attempted to prevent Biden from taking office even after Biden had officially won.

Dems are talking about dumping their candidate for a bad debate while Rollo Tomassi's buying SCOTUS to keep himself out of jail. Honestly, not much different than how it started to go downhill for Rome.
 
Going into details of decision, no accident it aligns with Project 2025. Important part of Project 2025 is replacing professional nonpartisan civil service with Trump loyalists. Decision talks about president must never able to replace positions at will. Thomas's concurring opinion declared special counsel should be outlawed because president has immunity. Judge Aileen Cannon is holding hearing on exactly that although special counsel upheld in previous decisions.
 
If you aren't having enough nightmares, Republicans said if Trump is elected and they take the Senate they will add four more justices to the Supreme Court. Alito and Thomas will probably retire. A hard right 10-3 majority with nine appointed by Trump based on loyalty to him.

We've heard this "Trump is Hitler" hysteria in 2016 before he took office. Now people are drumming it up again. He's talking about a cultural revolution, not over-throwing the government, but change through vote, which is the "democracy" the left keeps talking about.

I could drum up a lot of quotes from lefties on their desire to commit violence against Trump, encouraging actual violence, on eliminating the supreme court, on breaking off from the US etc...
