Previously it was assumed that isoprene is primarily caused by biological processes from plankton in the sea water. The atmospheric chemists from France and Germany, however, could now show that isoprene could also be formed without biological sources in surface film of the oceans by sunlight and so explain the large discrepancy between field measurements and models.

I share your affection for Johnny, but I split time with Dick, and I wish that Joey would return.

It's pretty big news that the climate models are hugely in error and the natural process of generating isoprene by the oceans is counteracting global warming to a rather huge extent.

When that stops happening, that's when we're in big trouble

Spot on! Wonder when we will start getting ready for that eventuality? In the mean time some more reservoirs would be good.

"Is there climate change? Of course there's climate change," Carson replied. "Any point in time, temperatures are going up or temperatures are going down. Of course that's happening. When that stops happening, that's when we're in big trouble.”

(Good answer)

It's an OK answer. He's an OK doctor. He's an idiot scientifically, unfortunately.

OK doctors get to be director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins (one of the very elite teaching hospitals in the world).

His big problem is zero experience community organizing. That seems to be your qualification to be president.

The OK doctor bit was a Trump joke. He was obviously a good doctor. He had very good hand-eye coordination, an important trait for a president.

You forget that Obama was a US Senator when he was elected President. But yes, community organizing is actually more relevant experience for being president than surgery, unless he's going to capture Putin and remove his brain.

Voters are communities and he's trying to organize them to vote for him.

Obama didn't show up for work. He was running for president the whole time he was senator.

Since when do you have to be a skilled surgeon to remove a brain? Can't you just take some scissors and snip snip snip? It's not like it's going back in there...

i mean, ben carson thinks the world is 6000 years old. hes a kooky dooker.

you realize just saying something doesn't actually mean it's true, right?

not voting is the same as a "no" vote, right?

so obama should be your hero.

he voted present! (i remember those smear attempts. they didnt work obviously)

No, he didn't vote that much. That graph I posted earlier was from a Washington Post hit piece on Cruz.

Ha! Shows what you know, it would take a 6001 yr old person to prove him wrong.
Probably a Chinese person, they add a year every Lunar New Year..so an American following the Solar Calendar butborn the same day as the Chinesewas born would be a year younger

i was talking about the "scandal" about him voting "present". maybe that was before the senate.

You can show up early as a Congressman or Senator and vote every time without doing any work or even a good job...the guy lobbying for president was working for a bigger role..even if he missed a few votes while campaigning. Maybe he was a bad Senator, I don't know..but there are Congressmen and women who are always there and sleep through the business of the day.
