Make a prediction about the team that you think will be true but that goes against what most people might think.

Here's mine: barring injuries, Jared Jeffries will get much more PT than Meyers Leonard. At least, so long as we don't count D-League minutes.

(I think Jared Jeffries might be the "role player" that Stotts wants to play a surprisingly large role for the Blazers. Of course, he's spoiled for choice with our roster.)

Hmmmm ... I'm not really expecting a ton of surprises this year, but this could happen I guess.

Ronnie Price will play more than Nolan Smith.

Myers Leonard will start and be almost a double double guy (9pts, 9 rebs, 1 block).

I have a couple

Blazers will challenge for the 8th seed

Barton will replace Matthews as starting SG after the trade deadline

Define "challenge". They'll certainly be challenged in trying to get there.

Barton will replace Matthews as starting SG after the trade deadline

Is this your way of saying that Matthews will be traded? Or that Matthews will only be started before then to showcase him? Or that after that point we'll give up all pretense of competing? Or that Barton is just that good? (Or that Wesley is just that bad?)

I think Barton has a good chance of being better than Wes, but Wes fits better in the starting lineup and Barton makes sense as a create-for-himself scorer off the bench.

That would more than surprise me, it would completely astonish me. But in a good way.

Wait - were you talking about the Blazers or the Idaho Stampede?

what will happen to elliot? is he trade bait!? is he worse than barton?

Meyers will have as more assists/min than LaMarcus.

What will happen to eliot? That's pretty much an open question with the way his career has started. I think it's possible he's got talent, but when guys sustain setback after setback it can really stunt their development as a player. He's essentially a rookie all over again this year and with tons of bodies clogging up the two backcourt spots, he's going to have a tough road to even get on the court -- bear in mind that he's not an Olshey guy, which means there's nobody exactly invested in his success or failure aside from Chad and who knows how much sway he's going to have.

He's way more athletic than Barton but not as talented. He needs to hang his hat on defense. At the moment he's Fred Jones but he has a chance to be Dahntay Jones...

Felton will have a high PER in NY than Lillard will in Portland.

He hasn't had a setback recovering from an injury. Consider last year his rookie year because drafting him we knew he would need MF surgery and be out for a year. Guys got talent is one of the hardest workers off the court(so it keeps being said by blazer media people so who really knows if it true). As long as he stays healthy he will be able to earn his chance to play. If he doesn't play we know he didn't earn it.

I'm gonna call BS on this. Woodson likes hero ball to much to allow Felton to actually put up D'antoni like numbers, its gonna be all about Melo learning to play point forward next year.

A Blazer will have a season-ending injury.

Blazers will get to the second round of the playoffs.

Average attendance will be up 2000.

Plus or minus 4000.

Kingspeed will post "season over" during the 2nd week of November.

The Blazers go 3-1 or better against the Lakers. They always play the Lakers tough and with a bunch of new pieces and a new coach the Lakers are not going to be prepared to defend the Blazers. With Dwight on ice early, LMA will have a field day in the first two games.

replace Ewill with Barton, Barton deos well too, therefore Wes is traded at the deadline

I'm starting to drink the Koolaid and thinking it's not such a bad roster. With LA, Batum and Lillard, I was thinking the weakness is at SG and C. While SG might have just a decent plug in of Matthews, it does have depth in two players with loads of "potential".

I'm thinking that Howard will for sure want to joint this group next year as a free agent . . . and that solves the center position. :)

Elliot didn't have micro fracture surgery. He had a procedure on both knees to correct unstable patellas, iirc.
