For 2-3 games now, there's been a noticeable rattle or screetch in my rear right speaker during Comcast's broadcasts on my ordinary 5.1 setup.

All other channels are fine.

Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

It's not just you. Myself and about four of my friends have noticed the same thing and I've been trying to figure out who to contact about the issue.

We were hearing about this tonight for the first time. I can tell you IN the truck it is sounding fine......and back home at the MC it is sounding fine.....so it must be when Comcast gets the signal and shoots it out. My boss really wants to get this fixed. Can you guys give me more details. Is it just on the right side or what?

Yes, it's ridiculous. Fix it already Comcast.
Typical Comcast.

Has nothing to do with your broadcasting.

Something that should have been noticed and fixed days ago.

It's just the rear right speaker for me (so my right when facing the TV, behind me...)

Thanks for looking into this for everyone.

glad someone else noticed this. its been at least the last two games and sounds awful, kinda like the predator used my speaker as a nest to hatch its spawn and theyre tryin to get out. i was a little worried it was my setup but after some trouble shooting i thought it couldnt be a problem on my end.

But it's not just the games which is why I said it wasn't Blazer Broadcasting. If you listen to The Fan with Isacc and Suke it's going on then as wel. It's a Comcast problem.

So our Comcast people are now aware of this and told us "they are investigating" what the problem is. Hope they get this fixed for you guys ASAP!

Trust me when I say we bust our ass trying to get the highest quality broadcast out to you guys and we hate hearing that these kind of problems are happening.

I have Comcast and I run my games in full 7.2 and the sound was good as usual. Not sure if the filters in the stereo were doing their job like the salesman said or if I truly didn't have any issues as others have stated. I also run my cable into my computer using a CableCard and then out to the XBOX 360 and then into the Stereo so I don't know if that could potentially clean up any distorted signal or not. One question I am thinking out loud about is that it's a digital signal and shouldn't have normally analog related issues unless it's in the source, broadcast, or rebroadcast.

Those damn gremlins!!!!

OMG I thought I was going crazy on league pass. Blazer broadcast not only looked like crap but sounded horrible too (compared to DEN). This has been true for a few games.

Don't worry HCP, it was clear it wasn't a problem with your broadcast (and as much as some people may joke on this board, we all know Blazer Broadcasting is as good as it gets).

Yes.

Blazers Broadcasting = Good.

Hooking your broadcast wagon to Comacast = Disaster.

Could this be grounds for divorce?

Fuck Comcast.

Where do you guys who are having problems with the audio live?

I'm hearing it is only happening on the west side.

Well, given your acknowledged hatred of everything not east of the Willamette, I now choose to blame you for this issue.

It's not just on surround sound. My upstairs TV has had the same obnoxious screeching noise coming out of the built-in speakers the last couple games. It was so bad, I had to turn the volume all the way down and turn on the close captioning.

Fuck Comcast. This is what happens when you let someone establish a monopoly - an inferior product at a premium price.
