The Blazers strategy for the playoffs should be at least 12 made swish3s in each game. CJ, Dame, Allen, Chief, and Brian should take them, but Mo and Noah should not, based on their season 3pt percentages.

The 9 swish3s in the MIN game were not enough, as the Blazers average more than 10 per game, and tend to win when 12 to 15 swish3s are counted.

The Apr 13 Nuggets game is an excellent practice game to get this approach in place for the playoffs. Let's expect more swish3 attempts and improved defense from now on.

They make more 3's they win? OH MY GOD, THAT'S NUTS.

What really will guarantee more wins would be an increase in bench swish3s now that Meyers is out..go bench mob!

So do you think we should take more threes than we have been? Or the team should try harder to make the ones they already take because for some reason they haven't been trying to make them?

I want the team to get quality shots; yeah open threes are great but I'd rather take an open midrange than a contested three.

WE MUST BE THE HOUSTON ROCKETS!

Oh god, I just threw up in my mouth.

Except for the March losses to DAL and GS, the Blazers show up well in the 3PM column of the game logs, and can take advantage of 37% or better shooting. In my opinion, the Blazers can shoot swish3s well enough to excel.

Of course, getting the open swish3 attempts from favorite spots with highest percentage shooters, and getting screens to open shots will be important ways to improve this percentage in the playoffs.

If they got around to playing a little more defense in between all those swishy3s, that would be nice.

It's the playoffs. We're going to need to up our SwishD, especially our Swish3D.

I'm down for swish3's, jump2's and all of the rest. Not going to miss the classic Meyers pumpfake3 into a clank2 in this series.

W3 just n33d 3d, Mac3 and Mo3 to mak3 th3ir Swish1s. Would lov3 to g3t som3 short bankswish2s, mayb3 g3t th3m into foul trouble by conv3rting som3 swish2s+Free1s. If th3y give us the midswish2 w3 hav3 to take it and swish2 it.

I b3t you Dam3 has at l3ast on3 swish3swish1s, or swish4s this s3ri3s

This was beautiful.

we need more swish3s for sho

i really like the idea that winning is as simple as 12-15 swish3 per game.

more hard p1ck n r0ll$ would be good, as well as some more effort on D3F3NC3

Who shoots the swish3s today is an important point that was not yet prominent in this thread.

Who should take the shots to make the 12 or more swish3s:
CJ
Dame
Allen
Chief
Brian

Who should not attempt any swish3s
Mo
Noah

Mason, Ed, and Cliff do not (and should not) try swish3s either.

With Blazers good passing and screening to open the shots, the number of swish3 attempts can be about 32, and could be less.

Schilly's strategy for the playoffs is to watch the games I can and DVR the ones I can't... Probably gnosh on some chips and salsa and plenty of water. Probably play my guitar with headphones since everyone else will be asleep. Then go to bed way too late and get up way too early, then because I am tired I will stop at Taco Bell for a Breakfast Crunchwrap and a Coke because their coffee is terrible. Once I am at work I will make a pot of better coffee drink a few cups throughout the day and sleepwalk around through it.

I like your strategy. Except for the coffee. I don't like coffee.

Congratulations to Dame for the 827 swish3s made in 4 years!

The 11 swish3s in the Nuggets game helped secure the win. And the better defense in the 2nd half was much needed. For the playoff games, both will be important.

The Blazers that need to abstain from taking swish3 shots are Vonleh, Harkless, Connaughton, and Montero. Let the better swish3 shooters take those shots please.

Made swish3s can be a major factor in the Blazers beating the Clippers in this playoff series.
