This is exactly why I have a problem with people who think just deciding to tank in the middle of the season is a thing, it's not. Another key injury would force the team to be bad and they'd win less games because they aren't as good. That isn't making a decision to lose games. That's losing games because you aren't good enough to win.

You're arguing that they're not tanking right by acknowledging they need another key injury to do it. Does that make sense to you?

Blazers just 3 games out of being #14 in the West.....with the highest payroll in the league. That is about as bad of ROI as you can get.

'Tank' and 'blow it up' all at the same time. However, do it with a quick rebuild next season in mind. A legit 3&D wing and a bench veteran and this team could be quite good next season.
