R.I.P.
I disagreed with him on almost every issue, but it's a sad day for the Senate and for the Kennedy family. RIP.
Commentators also noted the passing of a political generation that included the late senator's assassinated brothers, President John F. Kennedy and Sen. Robert Kennedy.
"It is one of the strongest brands in American political history that withers away," said Michael Ehrenreich, editor-in-chief of Denmark's Kristeligt Dagblad newspaper and an expert on U.S. politics.
I read something in an AP article about this.
R.I.P.
Ted Kennedy could have done anything he wanted. Instead, the Kennedy's made politics the family business. I hope this trend ends with him. No more political dynasties--it's too close to the system of royalty we fought against in the Revolutionary War.
I haven't known anyone with brain cancer. I really hope he didn't suffer, but I imagine his conversation with St. Peter will be an interesting one.
One less socialist, I suppose the government is going to have to pay for the funeral.
Oh and Maxie, the Bush family isn't more like Royalty than the Kennedy family?
Last of a legacy gone...and to cancer. Let's hope we can all work on a cure before it's too late.

How are you going to turn a RIP thread to a political discussion?
Classless.
I wonder if they'll talk about his secratary.
Just out of curiosity, will you make smart ass comments like that when Laura Bush dies, about the person she killed?
Was she drunk? Did she leave the scene? Did she take 10 hours to contact the police? Did she not check on the occupant of her car?
Blowing through a stop sign and driving off of a bridge are two different things. The only thing they share in common is that there were fatalities in each instance.
Not that there's anything that could be construed as a "bright side" from his passing, but does anyone else feel a certain sense of relief that his life ended by natural causes instead of by a tragedy or an assassination? I know it's morbid, but at least his death came in his home and he and his family could prepare for it.

I never really knew much about him other than Howard Stern's impersonations. Those are classic.
