Even if I dont pay more, what I do pay is going for things other than the betterment of CA...For an extremely bullshit reason

No, it comes from money previously budgeted for that purpose. If his individual taxes were effected it would cost him a fraction of a cent.

Those kids have got to be educated for the next 18 years or so. I doubt that has all been budgeted already.

Of course, you are right that the effect of this particular woman's kids on any one taxpayer is pretty small. However, there are lots of women out there having kids.

8 children being born doesn't effect anything significantly. There are well over 500,000 births a year in California. I don't think California budget things that tight.

They actually don't budget well at all... that's why they are where they are.

I don't know why you'd even bother arguing that a woman having octuplets when she already has six kids that she cannot support is something that CA taxpayers should not be at all upset about.

Because it's small peanuts. The outrage far outweighs any actual negatives a Californian citizen will encounter. People just love to hate other people. That's all this is, a common case of "look at that bad person, attack!"

Anyway, it's been reported she's getting a $2MM book deal. At that point she'll be paying more in taxes than most of the people complaining, and she won't qualify for any kind of welfare.

This is all a bunch of nothing. Some people are just easily manipulated by the media.
 
The "Stimulus Package" reverses Clinton's 1994 Welfare Reform he enacted with the GOP Congress. If the Stimulus passes, this woman will be rewarded by us all for having extra kids.

Thank god, that was one of the worst things to happen to America and to American families. Clinton had to do something to get reelected though.

Yeah, getting people off welfare rolls and getting them to work is terrible for families.

What's funny is I remember a journalist asked then-candidate Obama if there was a piece of legislation he would have voted against, but on which he was proven wrong. His answer was Clinton's Welfare Reform Bill.
 
Isn't Bill Clinton's welfare reform the piece of crap that makes it impossible to get a job, because it forces companies like Walmart to hire a bunch of people who suck at working, leaving more qualified individuals out of the work force?

Well, other than the recession of 2001 and this one, the natural rate of unemployment has been 85-140 basis points (depending on your calculations) below where it had been before.

So that somehow makes it right? Is it not obvious to you how this woman has schemed to live off of others? The thing is although their mother is a scammer loser, that the kids should not suffer because of it, they had no real choice in the matter.
 
I'm guessing not many people are going to be using this method (having many kids) as a way of getting money. If she is abusing the system . . . well it's not right, but I think the focus "abusing the system" should reamin on wallstreet and the banking industry.

You might be surprised. I have read about where states are trying to cut down loopholes because there are people out there who have kids so they can get the state support, and then jump back and forth between state lines to perpetually work the support system so they never have to work. They live in one state, get all of the state support they can get for a given time period there, move to another state, get it there, and then they can usually move back and start getting it in the first state.

I say if there are enough adopters out there looking for kids, do the right thing and move the kids to a responsible family, and end this horse shit.
 
It's good that she's getting so much attention. People will be watching over the implanting of embryos more closely and this should never happen again. The doctors who did this one I think are under pretty serious review.

I'll be pissed if she gets a TV show though, because I kind of think that was her secret ambition in the first place.

Isn't that pretty common? I thought I read somewhere that because of the costs and low success rate of in virto fertilization, they usually implant multiple embryos. My aunt did this and ended up with triplets. Although 6 does seem like over kill.

Fuck them too. I dont give a rats ass the want to better their life. The US gov shouldnt pay for Mexicans going to school in our schools. If the school is at capacity they should be kicked to the curb so a US citizen who wants to get their education can.

If you are an illegal already in CA, fine, stay, but dont expect gov handouts...thats bullshit
