Brandon: "I'm definitely interested in the GM position with the Blazers,” Brandon said. “I may not have the experience in management at that capacity, but knowing the game and being a point guard for many years in the league, I pretty much have ran a franchise before.”

I used to play pick up basketball against Terrell Brandon at U of O, great guy. Not GM material. Maybe he could replace Porter as our sideline reporter.

Not the GM this team needs to take us to the next level. It would be great for him to work in the organization somewhere though

You thought I had "inside" info NOW??????? That's my HS basketball teammate FAMS! Well, I mad sure the bench was the right temperature and Terrell had fresh cold GATORADE at all times. That's my dog, great guy, but NOT ready to be handed over the reins to an NBA team!

I think he should meet with PA and have a beer with him; if they connect, he should be our next GM!

Damon Stoudamire has run franchises, too.

"I'm definitely interested in the GM position with the Blazers,” he said. “I have experience in management over 20 people, and reporting directly to the guy in charge of the whole organization. Additionally, knowing the game and being responsible for the work results and discipline of 18-30 y/o's, I pretty much have ran a franchise before.

I guess I'm just hoping to be your Tom Penn.

I'll interview by saying the bbf is offering me 8x as much to take the administrator job over there, and you work it in to Denny to say that he should make me at least a producer -- and then we HAVE to be in! How's Brandon or HCP or Pfund going to top that?

Sounds like a plan. Now we need a stats guy. Maybe Rich Cho is available.

I'll be your stats guy. I like to browse basketball-reference and I'm not a big fan of watching basketball. Far too random for my liking.

Also, I looked at Magic Johnson's stats, so I have pretty much run a franchise.

Theaters don't count, rook.

For a "Tom Penn", I call B.S. when people try to rewrite the CBA.

Back in my Eugene days I played pickup ball with and against a lot of the Duck hoop team including Terrell. Most of them were pretty much jerks towards the other players... very clicky, but not TB. He was both the best player and person of all the various athletes I've ever met or gone against.

I wouldn't want someone with zero pro-hoops management experience running my rooting interest though. Maybe he could be part of management, but not in charge.

I happened to be driving on Alberta for a meeting there on Thursday and parked by TB's barber shop.

In Pippen's last year here, he wanted to be assistant GM or something. Not negotiator material. He had previously criticized GMs in Chicago and Portland. Now he's saying things about Jordan and Rose, while employed by the Bulls.
