It happened in Russia, read the whole article, this stuff seems to be going on. Most of these threats are just speculation, but we've found school building plans in Iraq and in various terrorist busts. I think this is very serious.

An ounce of prevention. We should close the damn southern border down to the last compound immediately. F*ck cheap labor and "comprehensive" immigration for now. We should be concentrating major resources on comprehensive prevention of terrorist threats. I think we need to kick down resources to our most nimble national investigative agencies to root out existing terror cells at the expense of the "Drug War," which is a complete waste of money anyway. If really close up tight for awhile, the illegal dope in this country would dry us out quicker than a yeast infection.Internationally, I would be happy if we could work hard to gain allies instead of selling wolf tickets to Middle Eastern countries. Talking tough and carrying a soft switch ain't working. If we know what the threat is, why are our policies so myopic? There is an actual political argument about the border when we're supposedly fighting terrorism? WTF?

It's already happened in Russia, whats so unbelievable about it happening here? Yeah, they knocked the towers over and killed 3,000 people but take over a school, THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Give me a break Reppin.

Putting more money into "rooting out existing terrorist cells" would be just as wasteful as the "Drug War" - both are huge wastes of money that could be going into something that we actually need. All of these terrorist threats are just figments of the United States paranoia.

This just seems like more big brother terror tactics to get the American public to fall into line. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, I'm just saying this is like all those other scares that haven't amounted to much of anything. These happen in Russia because the Muslim population is a lot higher, and it isn't "walking on egg shells" like it is here. in the US the Muslims who aren't terrorist are trying their damnedest to not look or act like terrorist, and for the most part the Muslims in America are left alone. however in Russia there is a lot tension between Muslims, and Christian. and unlike here, the Christians do attack the Muslims a lot, probably about as often as the Muslims attack the Christians. There is also the Chechneya(sp?) conflict over there, which has created a lot of these fanatics who are willing to do this crap. the US-Muslim conflicts are thousands of miles away from the US main land, so it's a lot more difficult for some fanatic to get here, prepare, and carry out an attack. even before 9/11 this was difficult for them to do, the 9/11 hijackers spent years preparing with little to no survalience(sp?). today with the Patroit act, anyone suspecious gets watched.also, if they tried shooting up a public school; the school children would probably fire back with as crazy as this world is. the kids would probably be better trained and better armed as well.

I'm not saying it couldn't happen, I'm just saying the chances aren't as high as you might think. The terrorist objective is to try and scare America out of the middle east, attacking a school in the US might do it, but it might also piss of this country and in the long run do more damage to their cause. I think the chances are much higher than some gayass emo kid shoots a school up than an Islamic militant, most Militants have an agenda so shooting up a school wouldn't achive their agenda. if you look at most the school shooters in the US, they are done by crazied or depressed nutjobs who just want to take as many people as they can with them. Terrorist attacks are designed to achive their goal.

Wouldn't shock me at all. Most schools are very easy targets due to lack of security. Sometimes I fear going to school the next day after hearing about a school shooting somewhere. It's so easy for intruders to get on to school grounds. All they have to do is go plant a bomb somewhere, and tragedy strikes.

Many members on BBW live in big cities with tons of kids, while most of the country goes to high schools with a 1,000 kids with like I said, a local police officer there.

I went to school in downtown Salt Lake City. the School I went to is where they send all the delinquents. it has a bad rep, but it really wasn't a bad school. It was ranked the #117 best high school in the country, and #1032 in the world.
