Revisionist history!!!!!! Fake news!!!!!

I have banners in my room for every year for the last five!!!!

Or....you are spot on and im just amidst another of my blazerfandom fantasies.

If it's a fantasy you must somehow include Kate Upton!

I'm having a hard time putting it all together.
So Dame's rookie year they missed the playoffs. Then the next year they beat Houston (.9!) and Lost to the Spurs I think - 2014, Then they lost to Memphis (LMA pouted and quit, and wes got hurt) - 2015, Then the next year they beat the Clippers in the 1st round, and lost to GS (then overpaid for everyone- 2016, which was a common theme that year), then they lost to GS again - 2017, lost to the pelicans - 2018, and now we're here. Is that right?

I think Stotts can get good results with his teams because he has strengths like many other head coaches. Like his offensive coaching is rightfully held up for being partially responsible for helping Dallas win a championship. But give a head coach a roster of any strength and your going to see weaknesses show. Stotts has got a decent bench and a rotation that he's been comfortable with for a number of years now. We've shown him loyalty but if this teams fails to get past the first round... I have no problem with a head coach change. That would be the normal process with almost any other NBA team in our position making a season ending review. You don't make change for change's sake but you don't also let loyalty make you indecisive either. Sports teams take chances whenever they role the dice in switching coaches or upper management.
Bingo. He hasn't had a roster that was supposed to get out of the first round since Aldridge left.

Last year wasn't good in the playoffs, but it's the first real playoff letdown we've had... And not many people picked the Blazers to get the 3 seed at the start of last season.

It's been a tough situation. We should have traded Aldridge a year before he left. But since then I feel like management and coaching have done really well..

Pretty much my sentiment also. 20/20 hind sight has me trading Aldridge also. But i must admit i was in the crowd that wanted to have him here and didn't think he should have been traded because i believed what he was saying.

I thought he was leaving and didn't want to risk it. He had a lot of value after we beat Houston in the playoffs.

But I understood where you were coming from.

I was at the Dallas game when Wes went down. I watched Aldridge completely change all in about 5 mins. In my opinion he was gone from that game on.

I thought he was waiting for an excuse to leave.

That's why my opinion was "sign the extension the year before or you will not be here to see free agency".

That's just not a risk we can afford to take here in Portland.

Yeah. Agree with that.

So why didnt we learn our lesson with davis? Oh and next up is aminu?

They should have been traded. They were replaceable and not vital to the continued success of the rest of thier respective final season. Even if for a second round pick, which we surely could have got for either, Right?

The more i look at the path over the last few years, this is a tragedy.
hindsite is 20/20 but repeat offences are grounds for major scrutiny.

Kinda hedging on over to management and not coaching. Sorry about that.

No offense, but those players are a dime a dozen. They aren't even in the same ballpark as Aldridge. Completely different discussion.
