A coupe things about that shot that are crazy.

If you look at it, the defender went straight up and played it as well as you could (all things considered).
Damian even slipped/misstepped and still got it. That pass was picture perfect. Also, LaMarcus got away with a moving screen.

That should be a highlight play (was it? I didn't/don't watch ESPN).

It made NBA.com's 10 best plays of the week. Actually, Dame had three of the top ten.

ESPN didn't show it on Sportscenter (I don't think.)

I shot highball out of my nose when he made that shot.

That kid is stone cold.

Go Blazers

Yeah, ESPN didn't even show it because they were too busy jacking off to the Aldridge/Davis matchup.

Stotts has become the master at drawing up solid plays. I still would love to hear his locker room half time speeches. Whatever he says really gets the team going!

Michael Holton was in the huddle and described the play on TV seconds before it was inbounded. That was badass to hear how it was going to happen with the multiple picks, I was thinking no chance this will work but it did.

He went straight up with his right hand, but stuck his left hand into Lillard. Sometimes that's a foul, somtimes it's not.

Wish we had a high-flyer for these kinds of plays. They've been drawn up well, but there were times it has failed due to the lack of athleticism/height of Matthews or Lillard

If Dame started getting calls like Westbrook, he would have gotten that call.

Or if he had that annoying as shit to watch head toss of Harden's any time he's touched.

Batum is probably our best choice for that. However, apparently he's also our best choice to throw those lobs too.

Reminds me of what Dallas used to do with Rodrigue Beaubois.

If he was a real man, he would do both.

I don't think its as much speeches as it is he and his coaching staff have great half-time adjustments. Vanterpool and Tibbetts must be great schematic coaches. Not sure Triano or Hughes' role. But, I think Stotts has surrounded himself with great minds.

Pretty amazing when you lead a horse to water and it drinks it right up! This roster and staff are to be comended for this level of success. I love seeing assistants coaches actually coaching on the bench with the bench players instead of just being some old guys falling asleep with clipboard on their laps...these coaches seem really engaged in the games.

I love how much player movement there is on that play. Everybody is in motion. They get the defense moving in one direction and then throw the ball over the top. When I coached youth ball, I used to run a similar play from the baseline that resulted in a wide open layup every time.

What a great replay on that Dame shot!

Elliot Williams averages 10.8 mpg. He already has as many career minutes with Philadelphia as with Portland.

Illegal screen is a foul. The screener can move as long as there's no/marginal contact. On that play there was marginal contact so it's good that a foul was not called.

It wasn't a foul. The defender jumped straight up in his vertical plane and every bit of the marginal contact was caused by Dame. The ref did an excellent job of not calling it.

Don't tell that to Jason Kidd. ;)
