Politics TEXIT! (A bill we can all support!)

Today, I filed HB 3596, which is commonly known as the “Texas Independence Referendum Act," or TEXIT

If passed, it will place a referendum on the ballot during the next general election, allowing the people of Texas to vote on whether or not the State should investigate the possibility of Texas independence, and present potential plans to the Legislature.

The Texas Constitution is clear that all political power resides in the people. After decades of continuous abuse of our rights and liberties by the federal government, it is time to let the people of Texas make their voices heard.

On this 187th anniversary of the fall of the Alamo I’m proud to file this bill to let the people of Texas vote on the future of our State. Texas was born out of a desire for liberty and self-governance, and that desire continues to burn in the hearts of all Texans.

After we build a wall around Texas we can start sending all of our illegals there!

To quote the guy from Taken. "Good luck"

I've often wondered... What is the relationship between Will Of The People and George Of The Jungle?

It just seems like too big of a coincidence they would both come up with names like that out of the blue...

Gonna be funny when they close all the military bases and Texas loses a ton of jobs

How about all that domestic oil that will change to import?
Oh and if they have any steel mills that will change to import as well and they lose the bidding power on anything requiring domestic only materials!

me thinks Texas is not thinking this one through to the end game. Lol.
This is funny.

Plus I doubt they make any cars down there.... or really much of anything else.... but they will have lots of beef

The biggest problem Texas will have in the future is water. The Ogallala Aquifer is running dry and no one seems to want to talk about it or do anything about it, which I guess feeds right into their create your own reality mindset.
The Lord shall provide

I see the Texas governor is slamming Portland because 2 Walmarts are closing. All the problems that Joe Bubba, butt crack state has and Greg Williams just can't keep his nose out of other state's business (see the 2020 presidential election). I guess it is misdirection to distract Texas voters from his own miserable track record and racist (and homophobic) policies. What a bitter little man.......
