I had to turn my shit off. I only have 300 messages and I've already gone over by 50....and that equals $10 in overage charges...fuck, that's screwy. 20 cents for every text...that I send OR receive. that is lame-o.

So I went online and turned off text messaging until the end of the month!

sweeet

i was getting annoyed by frequent ones knowing that I don't have an unlimited text plan. every little fucking detail, people would just text me. kind of like posting here but not as awesome.

I do think I need to re-up my cell phone plan...maybe get a new phone. might go for that new Palm Pre and a Sprint Unlimited plan.

I only like texting when I have to talk to someone but I dont want to hear what they have to say or their voice. So basically most my texts are to the wife ;)

My text-to-call ratio is like 400-1. I never talk on the phone.

Me, too.

The only time I talk on the phone is for work-related stuff, or if in semi-emergency situations (and, I guess, in emergency situations).

Txting is awesome. I love it and can't imagine what I'd do without it.

Probably just call?

Maybe. Probably not. I really don't like talking on the phone unless it's with family or some chicks.

I think it's a bit of a light phobia. In person I'm fine, and I can read body language and feel comfortable. In chat or online or txt, the medium is so restricted that I feel we're all under the same limitations. The phone is different for me. I just don't feel comfortable and I feel trapped.

Weird, huh? :)

txting is so fucking overpriced..300 for 5$ is what I have, but to get unlimited its 20$ a month...seriously?

I feel the same way. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage on the phone. And for some reason it's hard for me to hear while I'm on the phone, even though I have fine hearing normally.

I have unlimited text and my entire bill is $10 per month.

I have like A.D.D. or something when I'm on the phone. I have to be in a quiet room with nothing to distract me or else the entire conversation will be completely miserable. I also have to plan out my thoughts before making an important call, even going as far as predicting how the conversation will develop and then planning appropriate responses and reactions ahead of time.

No, same here. I generally don't answer the phone at home or at work, and if I can get away with it, I'll just listen to the vmail and send them an email response.

yeah...not available on my rate plan on sprint. I'd have to sign a new contract to do it....might do the $99.00 everything plan.

...I have a similar plan thru AT&T and it is well worth it to have unlimited everything, especially if your phone has any of the modern capabilities that are available nowadays

yeah. I need to step my shit up. I want a Palm Pre or blackberry but don't want to pay for it.

insurance plans baby! I have a decent Windows mobile device.

i like texting way better than calling...when i call someone i barely say anything

its so fucking calming not having text messaging on. not being bothered every few minutes, checking my phone.
