The pants above the waist is perfectly legit. I hate that sooooooo bad. If children in elementary school want to talk about how it is ok to do that fine. Then everyone has to wear them the old way until the last person on Earth that was raised being offended by it dies.

Then it is fine. Say at least another 100 years just to be safe.
Regulation of kids in grade school is very different than regulating grown ass adults who can walk into a bar.

It appears to be directed at keeping gang members wearing gang colors (organized crime), and people too stupid to dress themselves properly, out of the establishment. If you're forced to serve alcohol to criminals and stupid people, that put's you in a precarious position of legal liability.

Because of PC "outrage" they are forced to round out the list to make it more inclusive.

I'd add bowties and man-buns if it were my bar.

Schools are government, paid for by and to serve the public.

Good luck suing a school.

Bars are privately owned businesses, with broader rights and broader liabilities.

One DUI death lawsuit can bankrupt them.

Ok, I bite!
What is it that you don't like that bar owner is requiring?
Thanks for biting. I suppose I don't like that is singling out people, and very specifically black people from entering their bar. Clothing, and the way one chooses to wear them is not required for bar/ restaurant entrance. I am pretty sure that should be covered under the 1st ammendment. Anyone assuming this isn't a ploy to keep black people out of an establishment is lying to themselves.

It should be illegal. It's a violation of our 4th Amendment right. You cannot search a person's person, house, papers, and effects without a warrant or probable cause. There was no warrant nor any probable cause to search inside of someone's vehicle with a flashlight. What happened to me in Eugene 20 years ago was an illegal search. And I'm not sure why you're saying it's legal because it's not. And let's not forget slavery was legal. It was legal for Wallstreet to do what they did to us to create the Great Recession. Legal doesn't mean right but even in this situation I don't believe it's legal.

Sorry, it used to be that way but thanks to rulings in favor of gun-confiscation nuts the courts have held that your car, whenever it is on public property, is no shield of privacy. Anything that can be seen without entering the vehicle is considered to be on public display and as such can be used as probable cause for search of the vehicle and occupants.

Oh, I know all about that. I have My OLCC card. Over serving is a crime in this state and totally fineable. But choosing who can and can't enter your bar based on clothing choice is terrible, and especially when it targets one specific race.

Really! Which thing is it that identifies the black person. The Dew Rag? I guess I don't know what that is. Most of the rest, about half the kids in my little town here on the South coast wear
some of this stuff. The other half stay pretty squared away. But you couldn't identify any of it as a Black only thing, can you?

So black people aren't responsible weed smokers, they do dumb shit like hot box (white folk made that term up) cars and smoke in public...

That's GOTTA be the reason for the disparity in numbers....

Damon Stoudamire - foil-wrapped pot at TSA checkpoint at airport

JR Rider - fogging out his car in LO with a coke can pipe

I'm sure it wasn't clear, I'm saying kids can learn it's ok to wear pants that way now. Then in 100 years it can be put into practice.

Why put that into practice though? Why try to control what people can and can't do? It seems like a clear violation of the first ammendment.

Sounds pretty racist to assume that, that's how black people dress. I wear all of those except rags.... so.... not sure what your point is.

I've been kicked out of multiple bars, in multiple states, for their dress code.... I wasn't wearing anything crazy.... a lot of clubs have dress codes... a lot of them, you HAVE to be wearing a collared shirt at the very minimum.

Agreed.

I don't have a problem if a private business has a dress code. Deal with it and dress appropriately if you want to frequent the place.

I used to hate having to wear collared shirts downtown to go out, guess what? I dealt with it and had fun.

Bringing race into that dress code is B.S. That's projecting ones own stereotypes into something that isn't.

I guess only black people in Florida, like baseball. No white people, no Cubans, no PR's or Dominicans.

Jesus Christ. I wonder if white people in Florida, like football?

Underwear showing isn't a first amendment claim I'd defend. Why not just bare ass everywhere? Church, fine. School, fine.

Nope. Pants hanging down to your knees with a pair of shorts underneath should be legal, it just looks stupid. If your actual delicates are showing, nuh uh.

That has to be one of the dumbest fucking attempts at race baiting from a SJW..... holy fuck.

They might just want to keep white kids who dress like that out. I would assume they would be more trouble statistically than an equally dressed black guy. The white kid is trying to show off IMO.

I'm getting really fucking tired of you guys jumping in the cops eyes like you know what they are seeing and thinking. I'm simply tired of this shit. None of y'all are cops. I have two cousins that are police officers. One in Pendleton, the other is a Multnomah County Sherrif.
Wow - I went to Pendleton once. Redneck city. I'm betting a lot of meth busts in Pendleton.

I'm not surprised you have been kicked out of several bars. I work at bars and would probably 86 you as well. Too much anger. And do you actually know what a dew rag is?

You have no idea what you are talking about. This was targeted at a specific race. Keep your eyes shut dude.

Not an SJW. I just hate racism and will point it out when I see it. The equivalent would be if a bar has a sign outside saying: no khakis, no Polo shirts, hair should not be dry but gelled, no Chad's.

You are too correct here. I had just never seen that shit so out in the open.
I know Dviss hates the Henderson PD, (so does everyone) but I know Vegas is a pretty open minded place overall. Either that or it is well hidden. Plus, people here aren't that outgoing as far as saying hi to anyone of their own color so if someone doesn't look your way it is just the norm.

And do you actually know what a dew rag is?
I said before I didn't know, but I will take a guess.
Is this right?
