Please lock this thread. Regulating my AMERICAN history to one month is not only disgraceful, it's just another slap in the face...

Per the constitution, the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime. The last clause has contributed to the mass incarceration of 1 in 3 black males, which is why the Tweet rubbed many online the wrong way.

And @MARIS61 is the only conspiracy theorist?

Fool this is not a conspiracy. This is math and history combined.
math? like jet fuel can't melt steel? isnt fool a personal attack? i'd much prefer you call my posts foolish or my precious snowflake feelings might crumble

I don't like this argument, I think it is just a way to make an excuse for behavior rather than have personal accountability. If you want to argue legal slavery, let's talk college sports and why these institutions are allowed to make millions and not pay the athletes a dime for all the physical risk they take.

Imagine the word fool said with a little extra butter and cinnamon emphasis on it. It was in no way a personal attack. It was a term of endearment. Black people use that word in that context all the time. While not realizing this you go and cry to the mod... Jesus dude... Get some black friends...

He didn't cry to a mod.

I agree.

I also agree with DVISS1 that black history month shouldn't be regulated to one month and I don't think America should single out races for anything. But whatevs' just my opinion.

You must simply have no clue of what the prison industrial complex does with prison workers. Do some research and then talk.

His post was yelling

Stop hitting me!

Loud enough so mom could hear and come do something about it.

You see how I didn't cry about the word fool (which black people almost always use as a term of endearment)? It's because you used it in context.

The n word is used as a term of endearment in the black community but if it is used here by any person regardless of color or intent it will get deleted.

I have no interest in applying a race intention exception to a very simple personal insult rule.

When your neighborhoods are more heavily policed you will find more crime. Furthermore, with broken windows policing, you actually create more Felons.

There's a reason why black people are four times more likely to be arrested for marijuana than white people even though we smoke and possess it at about the same clip. Why??

Figure out why.

Care about why.

There's a few in here who truly don't give a shit (you know who you are).

Edit: True story: My cousin (obviously black) is a Pendleton police officer. He let a white kid walk with over 2 ounces of MJ.

That's the MAIN reason why I'm an advocate for marijuana decriminalization. So it can now go from black people getting arrested for it, to white people making money off of it... I'd rather have the latter...

That's my stage moniker. You been doing some vetting?

I will agree about the drug charge shit, and I also agree MJ should be legal everywhere. I also think, and this is my own opinion, that the drug is more common with the black community, thus could contribute to the higher arrest rates. Perhaps that is because of the image, pattern, emulation of the hip hop culture?? I do not know. If we were to take drug charges out of the crime statistics, it would be interesting to see where everything lies.

No vetting, I always cap your name for some reason, LOL my bad.

Yeah, Pence is nearly as tone deaf as Trump.

Here is Frederick Douglass' letter to his former owner. I'm sure Trump never read it as it is long and has a lot of big words:
http://www.lettersofnote.com/2012/02/i-am-your-fellow-man-but-not-your-slave.html

Here is Douglass on what the 4th of July means to slaves. I remember reading this in high school and getting scolded in class for my unpatriotic views.http://www.historyisaweapon.com/defcon1/douglassjuly4.html
What, to the American slave, is your 4th of July? I answer; a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim. To him, your celebration is a sham; your boasted liberty, an unholy license; your national greatness, swelling vanity; your sounds of rejoicing are empty and heartless; your denunciation of tyrants, brass fronted impudence; your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and thanksgivings, with all your religious parade and solemnity, are, to Him, mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy-a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages. There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of the United States, at this very hour.

These are hilarious. Sorry, not on Twitter and don't know the trick for properly copying tweets.
