Earlier in the year I outlined that Batum needed to be more agressive and seek his shot more. Well the last two games he is starting to do just that.

With Batum being aggressive and not worrying so much about being the facilitator his fg% has went up he is not turning the ball over and he is scoring making it much harder for Houston to just focus on LA and Lillard.

Maybe all it took was months of coaches telling you the same thing, maybe it was the playoffs or maybe it was Chandler Parsons riling you up but whatever the reason thanks for listening.

Funny that these performances happened after Parsons comments about being the best SF in the series.

When you look at their numbers they are pretty even but where Batum blows Parsons out of the water is defense. It's not close.

I run an adult reading course typically it is for immigrants looking to improve their English but you clearly need some assistance. In the OP, I clearly labeled coaching, the playoffs and Chandler Parsons as potential reasons for Batum becoming more aggressive. I did not at any point in that post attempt to take credit for him stepping up.

Did I previously outline areas in which Batum could improve overall, yes I did! Are there parallels betweens that analysis and his latest performance, you bet there are. However, considering even some of the biggest homers on this site have routinely said we need Batum to be more aggressive, more consistent and shoot more. It should be no shock that those elements were included in my analysis and those of every other intelligent basketball fan on the planet. While it seemed to take the Chandler Parson running his mouth and the importance of the playoffs for Batum to make that switch, I am very glad he did. Therefore, I am thanking Batum for listening to Parsons, his coaches or whatever it was that helped him elevate his game and helped the Blazers take a 3-1 series lead.
