Thanks for listening LA

There is no 'decoy'. You take what the defense gives you. If LaMarcus has a favorable matchup, and can get to the basket, exploit it. If they bring the double, exploit it. If he's shooting well, shoot it.

And above all: Run Beverley into some hard screens. Just for the fun of it.

I like the way you think!

Were you watching the shots he was hitting? They weren't wide open. They were fadeaways with Asik and Howard right in his face. Low percentage shots that were going in. Low percentage shots that you were crucifying him for taking in the regular season.

Yah because those same shots would come with maybe 1 or 2 attempts in the paint not 8 and sure as hell not 13. They also typically ended with 2, 3 or 4 FTA's not 8 and sure as hell not 13. The real issue will be how LA reacts when those tough shots are not falling. If he goes to work in the paint then we know he figured it out and playoff beast mode can continue if not we could see a 5-23 night and a quick turn around in this series.

So, you're taking credit for LMA hitting a bunch of mid-range shots last night? Had he been missing them, you'd have been spazzing out about him not getting in the paint. What a failure of a thread. Entertaining, though.

So you want more from LMA in the regular season? You think he should score 40+ points a night? You guys are amazing. Cmeese trying to take credit for LMA's performance and you bitching about what he does during the regular season.

Hahahahaha!

PapaG learn to read, someone already asked if I was seeking credit for LA's performance and I already very cleary said no. LA's has been told by his coaches that will need to bang in the paint and not rely on 20 foot jumpers in the playoffs. In response we got 21 shots in the paint in 2 games 21 FTA's and 10 O-REB, I was thanking LA for listening to his coaches and making the adjustments needed for Portland to succeed in the playoffs.

I mean I figured even in an ass backswards state like Montana they still emphasized reading.

Except the title you gave the thread is, "Thanks for listening LA." LOL! Clearly you decided you needed some sort of credit, praise or recognition.

If I am setting anyone straight it would be the brilliant posters on here. LA knew what he had to do to take over in the playoffs, he knew because he has played ball for years, because his coaches told him daily and because that is what other dominant bigs do in the playoffs.

I said thank you to LA for making the transition, which he has seemed to do at least through 2 games. Will it continue who knows if not I will thank him for his effort in these two games and call him out for not sticking to the plan. Which I am sure is the exact same thing his coaches will be doing.

I AM NOT SETTING LA STRAIGHT NOR DO I WANT CREDIT FOR HIS PLAY. LA AND THE COACHING STAFF DESERVE ALL THE CREDIT.

Sorry, but I can't read the title to this thread without breaking out into laughter.

I never specified who he listened to, I was just glad he listened to someone because his game especially his performance in game 1 was a major transformation from what he had been doing in the playoffs.

LaMarcus, You're Good Enough, You're Smart Enough, and Doggone It, CMeese Likes You!

Kimchi is as funny as the pungent smell of his name. I love how he tries and take credit for putting some fire under Lma's ass.

Newsflash, dude we don't even listen to you bro

No need to listen to me I am not your daddy, that would be either the milk man, plumber, post man, or some other poor fool your mother ensnared in her labia majora of justice.

Personal insults? Classy...

Did you not learn from the last time you were suspended? *facepalm*

Not sure you and a few others recognized it but he had a few stretches where played this aggressive inside and out and when he did the team played at a dominant level. It was during these moments I think he learned something about the the team and good they could be. I think the victory in OKC on New Years Eve was a revelation aswell as the Texas trip in Jan was revelation to them on just how good they could be.

You got love it. Bang on a player all season and then when that player actually plays to the tune of being the best player in the NBA playoffs to date, praise him for finally listening. lol

Why don't we see how his team does tonight because so far he has played really well.

So far so good Griz up 2-1 and Conley played well again can they finish OKC not sure but great start.

I was wondering when meese would show up since he did a disapearing act when we finished the season strong. Didnt you want to trade lillard for beverley at one point? Hahahahahahaha

I stopped posting because I am working full time finishing up my master thesis and exploring Charlotte. I have now finished my paper and explored a good chunk of the city so more time to post on here.

That shakes my faith in the education system.

"[E]xploring Charlotte". LOL. So, what did you do the rest of the afternoon?

So I wonder was Asik's defense really that good or did we see LA revert to some of his old bad habits. 3 shots in the paint is not going to get it done.
