I posted the whole context.
So you posted more of what you originally claim wasn't said.
Makes perfect sense.

The common belief of Young Earth Creationists...
Watch me ignore the troll.
I'm taking the Great American Road Trip starting in April and I'm hoping to visit the Creationism Museum (along with the recently finished humongous Noah's Ark located about 40 miles from there) in Western Kentucky, just to fully try and understand these folk's mindset and reasoning.....or lack thereof. Admission to either or both is expensive (though not as pricey as Disneyland). My wife is seriously annoyed with me. Not so much about the money so much as she feels my curiousity "only encourages those people". I'm not sure I blame her......https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Earth_creationism
The common belief of Young Earth Creationists is that the Earth and life were created in six 24-hour periods,[65] 10,000–6,000 years ago. However, there are different approaches to how this is possible given the geological evidence for much longer timescales. The Science Education Resource Center at Carleton College has identified two major types of YEC belief systems:[65]
- Believers in flood geology attach great importance to the biblical story of Noah's Flood in explaining the fossil record and geological strata. Major American YEC organizations such as the Institute for Creation Research and Answers in Genesis support this approach with detailed argumentation and references to scientific evidence, though often framed with pseudoscientific misconceptions.[65]
- A less-visible form of YEC not seen as often on the internet is one which claims that there has been essentially no development of the Universe, Earth, or life whatsoever since creation — that creation has been in a steady state since the beginning without major changes. According to Ronald Numbers this belief, which does not necessarily try to explain scientific evidence through appeal to a global flood, has not been promoted as much as the former example given.[66] Such YECs believe that fossils are not real and that major extinctions never occurred, so dinosaurs, trilobites, and other examples of extinct organisms found in the fossil record would have to either be hoaxes or simply secular lies, promoted perhaps by the devil.[65][67]

1. That our ancestors cavorted with dinosaurs 6000 years ago. What else do you expect to discover?
1. That our ancestors cavorted with dinosaurs 6000 years ago.
2. That unicorns are extinct because they were late for their boarding time at the ark.
3. Many people are willing to pay a lot of money to see this kind of "history".
4. Many people actually believe this kind of "history".
5. The vast majority of them probably voted for Trump.
Does she have to be present? If you tell them that your wife is also your cousin you get a 30% discount.
Does she have to be present?
Cousin, wife, whatever. I just have to be sure she doesn't run into my sister and get jealous......
She's gonna squeal like a pig when she hears that good news!Just remind your cousin wife of the new banjo you got for Christmas.
The more, the better.5. The vast majority of them probably voted for Trump.
Young Earth Christians believe the Earth is 10k years old. Either the dude doesn't know their timeline or he talked about civilization. @Denny Crane was right. Also, if you read the context, they were discussing man and their role in global warming. 5,500 years makes perfect sense in context of man and their role on effecting the planet.
Yeah I'm sexist. Are you a safe space politically correct police now? SADHow can Denny be right when he originally said the guy didn't say that?
Also why are you being sexist? Don't women have a role in global warming? Since there are more woman than men on earth I would argue they are more responsible for global warming.
Yeah I'm sexist. Are you a safe space politically correct police now? SAD
The fact you actually thought I was being serious about saying you are a "safe space political correctness police," makes this even funnier.
