Well, if we could get Randolph and Turiaf for Aldridge, I would do it.
LOL
This is ridiculous.

It wasn't a start, but on 2/1/2005, Zach Randolph played 29 minutes, went 0-12 from the field, had 3 reb, 0 ast, 0 stl, 0 blk, 0 pts and shot 0 FTs. If it wasn't for the 3 reb (and 12 missed FGs), his entire stat line would have been zeros. That's about the least impact you can have in 29 minutes on the floor.

You're right, Golden State would probably laugh and hang up![]()
Bullcrap. People whine about LMA's rebounding? Have they watched Randolph play?
![]()
I guess I should stop trying to be funny.
But Randolph is actually a pretty decent rebounder on a per minute basis, his 16.4 rebound rate trumps LMA's 13.4
Great. Make the trade.![]()
He's being s-a-r-c-a-s-t-i-c about trading LMA for Randolph even while pointing out that Randolph has a rebounding advantage over LMA.

Notice four of Wallace's shots were from beyond the arc...
Did he hurt his ankle doing the same thing many Portland fans did?
Landing awkwardly, after jumping off his (and the teams) bandwagon half a dozen times in the last week?
But he also played 40 minutes, and LMA had 3 steals ... we'll call it a draw
Unfortunately, it's not a draw.
Aldridge's PER: 3 pts +1 rebound +3 steals + 1 assist -1 turnover -6 missed shots = +1 in 31
minutes
One positive thing per 31 minutes.
Wallace: 3 pts +1 rebound + 7 assists + 1 steal - 3 turnovers - 6 missed shots = +3 in 40 minutes.
One positive thing per 13 minutes.
BTW, the GmSc for Zach's 0-12 performance on 2/1/05 was -7.1. I'm not sure if that is the worst performance EVER by a Blazer starting power forward, but if not, it has to be close.
At some point, Zach will be in the starting lineup. No rush to get him starting though; he's still recovering. Mo's statement ends the "uncertainty" about guys' roles, which will help the team. James Thomas had to be let go; couldn't sign him up for a 3rd 10-day contract, however, Blazers will see him again next year, taking another look at him in summer. Team won't activate Ha. If Joel or Theo gets hurt, may be in pickle. DA in hospital over weekend; dental nightmare. Found cyst on root of one tooth; don't think it's cancer, but that's why he's in hospital. MRI, CAT scan, brain scan, more test. DA is not in LA. He's lost 7 lbs. Monitoring closely.
I was curious whether Zach was playing injured, so I looked up the game. (Sheed's worst games may have been for the same reason. I didn't look them up.)
Zach was hurting but played off the bench for 29 minutes. The other major bench players were rookies Khryapa and Telfair and 2nd year Outlaw. They would have fouled out if Zach hadn't played. It was Khryapa's first game ever in the NBA, called up from the Injured List that day, Feb. 1, because we had nobody.
