We deserve to lose this game with the way we're playing so far. This is not a championship team and if we continue to play like this we will get absolutely demolished in the Rose Bowl. Our offense just looks extremely one-dimensional and teams have figured out that we can't pass.

teams have figured out that we are a running team and they stack for the run. We've had so many looks for deep and Thomas just can't hit it. He doesn't have the accuracy.

Side thought: Oregon State had three unsportsmanlike calls. Could have had five - with LMJ having his helmet ripped off and the other blow to the head on Paulson. What a team, huh? We play as deep into our roster as we can, use vanilla play calling barely rush Mannion and try to let them leave Autzen with some dignity as we generously grant them 14 4th Q points on our 4's - and that is how they respond?

Next year I vote we actually play and throttle them 72-0.

Buker (OSU's biggest fan) has had enough. I'd say he's having a meltdown, but he's being honest. His tweets included "how far we have fallen" calls the team "walk ons" "season from hell" says how he can't wait to have Riley say nothing more than they should have played better, again, Mannion getting the Autzen deluxe, "another persona foul...how does that not reflect on coaching staff" "time of death" "it just really sucks" "terrible knee jerk reaction by riley" "doo-doo on riley's shoe" "riley's...nightmare..."

The whole offense looked like shit in the first quarter. Two failures on 4th down? Couldn't convert in the red zone? We didn't pick it up towards the end of the second quarter. It's not like I said after the game that he played bad, I said at the time that he was playing like shit. That was... what.... 3 or 4 minutes into the game? Like I said, easy to come back in here afterwards and snipe at me. That's real big of you.

Nate, sorry if anything I said upset you. Do you want folks to respond to your posts, or not? Personally, I appreciate when people disagree with my opinion. It gives me another insight that I prob didn't consider. I thought that was what we were here to do.

Dude, it's the first quarter and you're saying we deserve to lose. It's a game of 4 quarters. We ran simple plays over and over - mostly middle of the field. We drew the corners in, the LB's tightened, defenders began to cue in on the between the tackle dives, ran little motion or option. That was the gameplan. This isn't a dig on you but most fans know and see what's happening. Total Chip gameplan. Our staff is watching how each LB, DE and CB respond to the between the tackle runs. Over and over. Then, BAM - exploit the side with dive fakes, sideline passes, outside speed - as those defenders had tightened and shown a weakness. Then when they readjust, totally mess with them and begin the mid-field TE passes as they cue on RB and WR. Then, back to between the tackles.

It was all methodical and full of awesomeness. If you freak that bad after one quarter of game adjustments, I can't image how you've been in the past with come from behind wins vs Tenn or Stan, lol

I dunno, man. Try not to take this stuff so serious. And, JMHO, but if Oregon is clearly toying with a fellow rival or conf team, don't throw in the towel - not until the 4th with .01 left.

the 3 :MARIS61: pontifications of yours I reposted were spaced 20 minutes apart. Slam after slam after slam on the stud QB who was playing just fine. I rewatched the game this morning thinking maybe there were egregious faux pas I missed... nope. I haven't seen the official game log out yet, but pretty sure DT was all of 3-7 for about 45-50 yards for the 1st Q. OSU was playing pretty well on D, pressuring/hitting Thomas and blanketing receivers. He did miss one slant pass he shouldn't have to DAT at about 7:15. Other then that, he did fine. OSU was outsized on paper in the matchup of the lines, and the offensive plan was clearly to wear them down by running the ball. The Ducks typical recipe for success is to grind the opponent in the 1st half and capitalize in the 2nd. We've seen it again and again, yet you're pissing yourself in the first Quarter. Oregon's passing attack dominated the 2nd Q which is probably why ESPN gave Thomas the game ball.

Yeah you didn't say DT played bad after the game, but it's not like you said he redeemed himself either. Dude had a very good game, yet your only comments on him were highly critical
