Does that actually come off the cap, or is it just cash reimbursed to the team?

If it is actually off the cap, we'd probably need Bledsoe to sign a deal before using that space, which with his standings as a lower tier free agent may be unlikely.
Off the cap

No its not. Thats why we have Andrew Nicholson on the cap in 2024.

The Blazers won't contend next year, take the cap hit now.

Stretching 5M is not the same as stretching 18M or whatever it was he had left.

He bailed on the Warriors for this situation. Not feeling too badly for him. And I know, Harden came after. But why he left GSW is a head scratcher.
think he got tired of all the criticism he got for joining that superteam. And he was about a half inch away from getting to the finals essentially on his own last year in one of the most masterful playoff performances in NBA history.

Also sidebar... you want some real pain? Our guy GO (currently an Asst coach at Ohio State) is doing ads for car dealerships now.

The idea of trading for Christian Wood and then pairing him with Boucher in our frontcourt would be fascinating to me.
Right. I think those guys could co-exist with Nurk, Both are PF/C's. Could vary their usage according to opponent and game situation.

What is the significance of 2250? Is it cause he looked 50 when he was 22?

Cause people criticized him that he rode the coattails of a team that already won championships. And we all know Durant’s mentally soft and can’t handle criticism about anything, by anyone, or he’ll want to fight you like giraffe.

I get it....just don't feel sorry for him.

Here’s the latest intel on my end as we keep trying to read the room: With two hours left before the deadline, there’s a whole lot of optimism coming from the Simmons camp. Does that mean the deal sending him from Philly to Brooklyn will get done? No, but it’s certainly notable. As a source close to Simmons who expressed this confidence put it, the only thing that might mess this trade up now is “ego” on the Nets side of the equation. On one side, you have a three-time All-Star in Simmons who could help salvage Brooklyn's reeling season while rehabilitating his image that has been so tattered over the past year. On the other, you have a player in Harden who has suddenly become a (rapidly) depreciating asset.

Blazers seemingly attempting to get in on a couple of discussions/potential deals, but it would be as a 3rd team and they don't have a lot of leverage.

Well, Morey has proved everyone wrong in that he going to get good value for Simmons by waiting and get his guy.

which is such bullshit and obvious tampering. Haynes had mentioned a few weeks back that other teams were already raising alarm about the overt tampering, especially given the connections Harden has to one of the owners of the Sixers. Hope the league does something so this slimy POS doesn't get rewarded like this.

Like for example, you think his hiring of Phil Beckner was an accident this summer?
