Crazy

That's like some freak accident shit

Blurb for those who didn't want to read the whole thing:
IN HIS 11TH day in the hospital, Baynes was finally able to stand. Then, in an exercise to work on his motor skills, he was able to stack one cup on top of another, an accomplishment he'd been working toward. He was so excited that he FaceTimed his wife. When she answered he saw his youngest of three children, his 6-month-old daughter, learning to do the same. He began to cry.

Getting home (from Japan) was brutal. A special medical plane was chartered for the 4,000-mile flight. In order to keep him safe, doctors determined he'd need to be strapped down on his back and anesthetized for the entire eight-hour flight. When he finally got home to Brisbane, he had to be stretchered to an ambulance because he still couldn't walk. Because of Australia's strict COVID-19 protocols, he had to go into a mandatory two-week quarantine in a local hospital and was still unable to see his family.

I just posted this in the Around the NBA thread, guess I should have scrolled down first.

I had no idea how serious it was.

Delly, and Sobey posing as doctors to sneak into the hospital to see him, classic!
All good. More people that can read it the better. I wondered what happened to him.

I feel like just last year he drained 10 three’s on us.

Damn I read the story so what exactly was he diagnosed with?

yeah....you'd think they'd explain what the medical issue was. Maybe they still don't know?

As a Wazzu alum, I've always loved watching Baynes and his tough nosed style on the court. Dude is a beast and hope he gets back on the court soon!
You lost me at WAZZU bro! THIS explains EVERYTHING!

We've built quite a good women's soccer program in the past few years, the lil HCP should be begging for them to take a look at her! Also one of the top broadcasting programs in the country!

Aron had a really difficult season with the Raps last year. He started the first 25-games or so but could never get into rhythm on either end of the court. I don't think he blocked a shot in the first month and his three point shooting went to shit. By March he was hardly playing, having lost his spot in the starting lineup to Chris Boucher. In April Nurse stopped using him altogether. The fans virtually demanded that the Raps not pick up his second year player option. He's gonna be 36 next season having not played in the NBA for two years. I hope he gets on somewhere and does well because he is a lovely guy but I think his NBA days are done.

Yeah I tend to think the same. Wish well for the guy but I probably wouldn't want my team to use a roster spot on him.
