Tortilla chips: Jaunita's

hands-down

When the chips are down, VanillaGorilla and ABM actually agree on something!

Agreed Abm. Juanitas are definitely the best.

Best pizza place: American dream

Best grocery salsa is frontera grill roasted tomatillo.

hoop fam

I couldn't agree with you more.

Grocery store salsa: Rojo's Fresh Cut Salsa

Agreed. But there are so many good hole-in-the-wall Mexican grocery stores in the metro area with damn good salsa and pico de gallo for super-cheap. Agreed on Juanita's chips, too.

Best patio area in Portland: Veritable Quandary aka VQ.

Only outdoor seating I like better than mine at home.

Best steaks outside of a butcher shop/restaurant/farmers market - Costco

For a giant chain, you still get some quality, generous cuts for cheap at Costco.

Absolutely correct. They have their two levels, the regular and the prime or premium or something like that. Anyway, those prime are out of this world. Still not cheap, but worth every red cent.

Yeah... had one of their t-bone's last night. They don't always have those in stock, but when they do, that's the way to go. Their filets are almost as big as their strips. Quantity, quality, and even though it's not cheap, for what you're getting, it's still a great buy.

Best dollar menu hamburger: Wendy's

Worst dollar menu chicken sandwich: Wendy's

I'd agree, but have you had their dollar (+.49c) chicken wraps? Best thing on their value menu for my change...

Best Overall Value Menu: Rally's (or Checkers, if that's what they call it in ya'lls area)

T-bones are good, but if you have a chance try hanger steak. I like steaks medium-rare, which is perfect for this cut b/c you can get them a bit tough if you overcook, but very, very tasty.
