The Blazers Player with the Most Trade Value is Lillard

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Anyone considering trying to improve OUR team will not consider trading Lillard or Aldridge, and nobody from this year's draft even approaches their value.

Free agents and swaps involving our bench are the best sources for what we need now to go all the way.

I wonder if you'd have said the same thing before the 2003 draft?

Would it?

I look at things differently than most, so when I say that, I am taking into account the money we'd have in free agency, so I minus players like Aldridge and Matthews (for example) and see 20 million in cap room, plus Andrew Wiggins.

Just thinking out loud

But will we really have that much cap space? With Batum, raises for Lopez and Dame, etc? Just asking.

I don't think Portland makes the playoffs in the west swapping out LMA/Matthews for Wiggins/cap space. What good is cap space when the team has shown it will take steps backward, and when has Portland every been high on any superstar's free agent destination?

I wonder if you'd have said the same thing before the 2007 draft. Portland drafted a "once-in-a-generation" player, or so I was told. 8000 people showed up in Pioneer Square to greet that player, I was happened to drive right by the huge crowd because I was working downtown.

Why would Charlotte or Denver give up any future asset for one year of LMA? I just don't see him signing there long-term. May as well move to Texas and take less money, yet make it up on not having a state income tax.

Had they took the right person number 1 then trading an all star for that pick would have been worth it.

I'd like to point out that...

Prime John Stockton >>>>>>>> prime Damian Lillard.

Everything ok with you? I made smart ass posts like this for Eric's guarantee and you suspended me. How is what you are doing any different? Asking if ok is sincere. You arent like this normally.

Y'all don't get the point of PapaG's thread.

Yallz is ruh-tards.

Just sayin'.

Nothing to debate here. He's just keeping it real for those that think we can (or need to) move up for some sure-fire stars, what we would have to give up to move up, and how realistic it is.

Forums are a dying breed and this one is no exception. By all means, let him speed up the process for S2. :biglaugh:

I'm glad that the last two weeks have been going good for you. You deserve it.

Being a smart ass has never been a punishable offense in this forum.

Hardly the king but it is good to be me.

Forums aren't dying, only poorly run ones are. It's up to everyone to find ways to make RC2 more entertaining and informative.

The comparison is not an unreasonable one, though. Your multiple "<<<<<<<<<" posts are no less distracting, inflammatory, or superfluous than MM's "guarantee" threads were. The only difference seems to be that there is nobody with forum authority telling you to stop.

I disagree but I will delete the posts and apologize.

I'm sorry for the <<<<<<<< posts. The premise of the original post that I was mocking didn't make sense with it so I decided to have some fun with it.

Yes they are. How many people post on this forum actively? 15 or 20? Out of how many Blazer fans? This is the official forum of the Blazers and we have like 20 active posters.

Curious. Did we have more posters before we became the official forum?

One of the fastest growing sites on the internet is Reddit, a forum. If done right forums thrive and grow. It's still the best format for in depth conversation and trading opinions on a specific subject.

I don't have a fancy title by my name.

That doesn't really matter or is it an expectation of anyone who volunteers as staff here. If you like the forum, which by your 32,000+ posts means that you do, you are a perfect person to invite other Blazer fans here to talk and debate the Blazers.

No, I loathe every post I make here. I can't help myself, though.

OH THE KINGS JUST WON!!!!

How's your jaw? Your knees?

Just wondering.

Wow, if I'm too mean people bitch, too nice people bitch, just have a little fun people bitch.

Kinda feeling like I'm not welcome around here anymore. Oh well, it happens.
