Kind of ridiculous if you axe me. I work in the industry and its already down considerably, way to slow it down further. Such a random and arbitrary thing..sure its elective surgery, but there is no good justification to levy such a tax.

The bill levies a 5 percent tax on elective cosmetic surgery. The provision raises $5 billion and was needed to make the numbers work, according to a Democratic Senate aide.

The Finance Committee considered the tax but dismissed it, in part because it was a public relations battle that senators were not willing to wage.

BTW, that tax is 40%. It would put plastic surgery out of business, which is probably the point. Those reconstructive surgeons would then be reintegrated into the public health care sphere where the Left believes they belong.

they do happen. there are a lot of scams with underground botox parties...i think they were even using ketamine and other shit too. a few years ago, dude was also injecting silicone into people's faces.

If anything, it will just encourage medical tourism.
