Bringing up his inefficient scoring numbers and inflated rebounding numbers have merit. He's due for a big payday and I don't think he's worth the $100m he's going to seek. Grow up and quit shitting yourself. :)

Not at all what I said. All I said was Davis' numbers actually went down instead of up like you stated.. Really showing Rolo maybe had a positive effect on him. Why the fuck is it so difficult that instead of a snarky comment, you just say oops, I was wrong. Of course not. That's why people get annoyed with your shit. You leave a discussion, totally twist a discussion, argue semantics, or just make stupid snarky comments. So simple to just say oh, ha, yeah, I misread that.

Huh? Who is arguing semantics? You brought up TRB% after I pointed out per/36. It's a wash, and and correlation is invalidated after looking uo RoLo's rebounding stats this year. I point out that both LMA's and RoLo's went up this year. I was pointing out the absurdity of the argument that RoLo was the primary reason for LMA's success. Doesn't that mean that RoLo's increase is due to LMA, then?

You said Davis' rebounding went up. I simply said his TRB% actually went down. As well as his ORB and DRB%s

With it being only Davis' second year, it is still too early to draw any definitive conclusions from his stats. LMA's total rebound rates have been consistently between 12.9% and 14.0% - yet this year it jumped significantly to 16.5%. Lopez's rebounding numbers have been consistently between 12.6% and 14.2%. This year was his best at 14.5%, but it is still within the standard deviation of his past history. LMA's jump is out of the statistical norm for him.

I was comparing Lopez with Davis versus Lopez with LMA. Anyhow, some of you are so unreasonable with the negativity that it has made me start ignoring posters for the first time in years. It got to the point where I knew what blue9 was posting 99% of the time, even in threads that have nothing to do with LMA.

What you just wrote has a bunch of subjective caveats. So, buh bye to you, too.

How do you explain LA's drastic improvement in his rebounding numbers especially defensive rebounds? Especially considering the percentage of his rebounds that were uncontested? It seems very likely that the effort makes boxing out provides the extra space LA used to improve his rebounding rate.
 
Robin Lopez is exactly the type of center LaMarcus Aldridge asked for in the previous year's exit interview. Lopez and Aldridge work well together on the court (almost like basketball is a team game) and both play better for it. The fact that Lopez boxes out, which leads to more "uncontested" rebounds by his teammates, is not proof that LaMarcus Aldridge isn't a good player.
 
Embiid's workout and interview in Cleveland last week were major successes, according to sources close to the Cavs. Embiid did a full workout there in front of the Cavs' front office and owner Dan Gilbert. Multiple sources said that the team was blown away with the workout. Embiid even ended one session by launching and nailing a series of 3s. Directly after the workout, two different sources told me that Embiid was the strong favorite to be drafted by the Cavs. Even Gilbert was on board. ESPN.com

I think some of you (Not all) are still trying to justify the "less than smart" trade scenarios that were suggested from last summer. Many of which would have disastrous if done. LA made a few of you look foolish. You are still holding to the "trade him just in case he leaves and we end up with nothing" logic. That is no way to run a franchise.

I have thought about the different scenarios that involve LA not being on the team next year, and even though this is a league dominated by guards and wings, and even though Damian is our go to guy down the stretch, not having LA on the floor as an option, would not be as effective. The players you want to replace him with in the end would not make the team better.

Take Wiggins for example, unless he can attack the basket at a high level, he will just end up being another long jump shooting wing with zero post up moves. Has he proven he can attack the basket at a high level? Or is he best suited for running the floor, and finishing on the break, which seldom happens in the playoffs.

Regardless of LA's stats, he commands a double team. Very few bigs do these days. I can't see us being better when he is gone.
So don't move him. He is not perfect but I just can't see anyone available that is better. Now or in 3 years.

Holy crap, it's literally another Oden-Durant situation. The Cavs will regret taking Embiid.
 
I couldn't imagine if they traded LMA to get another injury prone center prospect...
 
I could see Olshey pulling something unexepected just out of left field at the draft though. Isn't that what golden gut guys do?
 
Sorry Wookie, I would definitely think long and hard about making this trade. I like Aldridge but in my opinion Aldridge isn't an elite player that can win championships. He's a nice 2nd or 3rd piece but he's going to want max contract this time and I think that would be a huge mistake. I would ask for 2 top ten picks or #1 and an expiring contract (Gasol's contract would be nice three team deal with Lakers). Do I think Cleveland will do this, maybe you never know depends on how much they want Aldridge.

Nothing is ever for certain, but at least we will have a 8-9 year track record in which to make the decision. You may not personally like that record, but it is a better gamble than someone with zero NBA experience. It is all a risk.
