I don't understand police who antagonize the people.

Sure you do. You understand it completely. Assholes who become cops are still assholes. That's not hard to understand. You can disagree with it, you can be angry by it, but I'm sure you understand why it happens.
Antagonizing the police can only end badly. Is it right? No, but lots of shit happens in this world that isn't right. Lots of people who have power will abuse that power.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
What is the gain of doing it though? Does it make these people feel better? It seems like a risk without really any reward.

Church Deacon Tased & Dies | Officer Fired
Posted on November 24, 2023
Bodycam was just released in the case of the church deacon in Atlanta who died after being tased by a police officer, following his refusal to sign an accident citation. The video was made public at the request of his family, who viewed it in September. Arnitra Fallins, Hollman’s daughter, told NBC News that the video was “very disturbing” and that she became physically ill watching it. Her father had called her during the fatal encounter. The officer was subsequently fired. But not for the right reasons.
Full footage here. It's fucked up.
Family in Rental Car Held at Gunpoint After False Report From AI Surveillance
A Wisconsin family on vacation in San Diego was pulled over by police in Oceanside, California, after their rental car was mistakenly flagged by the town’s automated stolen car reporting system. They were ordered out of their vehicle at gunpoint and treated as dangerous criminals. As it turns out, the rental car company had neglected to withdraw an older report that the rented vehicle was stolen. The town’s automated camera system notified police of the vehicle’s whereabouts, leading to this interaction.
