The Clips just waived 2 players

This definitly isn't normal in my book. Most of the time players are only waived one at a time unless roster space is needed. Who did they waive?

Regarding the "proposed" Williams deal? I can't recall, did Knight renege?

How I had understood it to go down was this. The principals in the deal were this

Zach was being traded to NY for Lee and Francis.

Jack and Joel were being traded to Atlanta for Williams and filler.

Atlanta pulled out when they got Law I think????

i like williams alot. isnt he a RFA this upcoming summer?

Yea that is the thing: If they released 2 players to make room, that would imply more than 1 coming back in(maybe up to 3?), or they are just dumping them for salary.

My guess is if this trade goes down, maybe Sergio is involved?

Did one, or both, of the waived Clippers have non-guaranteed contracts?

If so, there is nothing unusual about the timing. Donald Sterling is a notorious cheapskate. If not waived by Saturday, all non-guaranteed contracts become guaranteed for the rest of the season.

So, this could be a cost cutting measure - or it could signal an upcoming deal - or, perhaps both.

Or Bayless. I hope not, but you never know. Sergio would do well in that system though.

My thoughts exactly. From what I was reading, NY was looking for Portland to sweeten the deal, because they believe Lee is their best player.

Secondly, from what I have read, the Knicks are looking for size, and Lee is really sick of playing center out of position.

Yea I forgot about contracts going permanent soon. Well all we can do is sit on our hands and wait.

If we only give up Channing Frye and get David Lee I'm going to have a heart attack... in a good way. Channing's been Awful this year.

I hope Bayless stays. But this is exciting thinking a trade is coming !!!

Go KP!!

................. just saying. I like his game and hope he sticks with us.

I hope that he stays, too. I certainly wouldn't trade him for Lee right now. I really like his attitude on the floor and the way he can blow by defenders. He's going to be a great asset once he gets acclimated to the NBA game.
