This is why it’s so interesting to me because people compared LeBron to Magic when he was coming out. His size and playmaking. Plus, Magic was a huge catalyst for showtime, which changed the league.

LeBron is just a freak. The fact that he’s still this good at his age is nuts. Blows me away.
Curry has totally changed the way the game is played, more so than others mentioned. IMO

I think Pistol Pete started that change in the game and Curry became an extension of Pete's game...

Your opinion is wrong.

Why's that?

Its all the about the three ball now and it exploded with Curry, look at 4 & 5's now that stretch the court with three point shooting.
Go to a park or gym and watch youngsters shooting three's rather than working on their handle or defense.

Pistol was looked as an exhibitionist with his ball handling and other unreal skills. And yeah it started guys passing behind their back and such, but Curry with the multitude of threes and the Warriors run has impacted the game the way its played today in a huge way. Just count how many threes are shot per team in a year and who's shooting. You got bigs hangin around stretching the court with threes.
Summer league was a threefest two as compared the way the game used to be.

Somone once posted how many points Jerry West would've actually scored had there been a 3 pt line in his day...it would've added thousands of points to his scoring stats.

Not really. West made 9016 field goals (on 19032 attempts). Given the dearth of the usage of the 3 point shot when it was introduced, it's unlikely that he would have taken more than a couple thousand over his career--for comparison, fewer than 10% of Larry Bird's field goal attempts were 3's. Logically, it's unlikely that the existence of the 3 point shot would have added much more than 1000 points to West's total.

My recollection is that it would've added over 3000 to Wests totals...I read the stat so how accurate it is is up to the author, West shot from deep a lot ..it was part of his game. Just some trivia I thought was interesting. Same thing with Pete Maravich.

Now days a player can shoot from 35, its part of the game where before, you'd be pulled and put at the end of the bench.

Wait wait wait.... Curry is not responsible for the boom of three pointers. He and Dame might have changed the RANGE of three pointers, but the Houston Rockets were the first team to really use the sabremetrics of the three point shot.

How about last 50 years.. just my opinion

Michael Jordan? How many players were drafted as "the next Jordan?" He proved that you could win without even a somewhat good big man.

Magic and Showtime definitely changed the NBA.
