I have been rather surprised at lillard's lack of reaction. I thought any "attack" on him referred to his leadership, and I have not seen him leading. It seems to me there is very probably something going on backstage with this team that is affecting performance; has he tried to find out what it is? Has he called guys out? And what is his reaction to criticism of his defense and the questions about why defense looked better when he was out? I haven't seen any increase in his intensity on defense.

If we were actually privy to all that behind the scenes shit, wouldn't you actually be alarmed and worried that the team was fracturing? Take it as a positive that we aren't hearing anything.

As for Lillard's defense, nobody was complaining when they beat the Cavs and Lakers. I'd say their woes are kind of hard-wired physical limitations -- lack of lateral speed, an undersized backcourt, no rim protection, opponents adjusting to the new scheme, etc.
