Several media outlets projecting CA Sen Barbara Boxer (D) wins, Jerry Brown wins governor's race and pro-marijuana prop defeated.

watching MSNBC is fun tonight.

No, it's not. I decided to try for once and it was hurtful. Maddow was making some good points, (especially about Feingold), but listening to Olbermann and the others made me let my wife switch to Glee.

KATU has Kitzhaber at 51% and Dudley at 46% now I think..

By "Glee" you mean "Fox News" right?

Joe Biden: No 'debacle' for Democrats in November
By MIKE ALLEN | 7/6/10 4:53 AM EDT

Vice President Joe Biden said predictions are wrong about some “grand debacle” for Democrats in November, and he predicted upset victories for Democrats in the Senate races in Nevada and Kentucky.

“Reports of our demise are premature,” Biden said in an interview with POLITICO as he wrapped up his surprise Fourth of July trip to Baghdad.

Lol at the idea of watching MSNBC or Fox News for anything other than for the lols.

REPUBLICANS WIN SENATE SEATS: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, OH, OK, KY, KS, LA, MO, ND, NH, SC, SD, WI...
DEMS WIN: CA, CT, DE, MD, NY, WV...
TOO CLOSE TO CALL: PA, IL...

19 wins for republicans, 6 for democrats.

60% precincts in, it's 49%-49% with 1100 votes separating them.

Yeah, but only half of Multnomah County is in, and none of Benton County. Unless I'm doing the math wrong (possible) Kitz has got it.

You are missing the great state of Oregon.

What this means.

2010 was a census year. Republicans get to draw the redistricting lines in 2011.

Governors are a huge boost to local and national candidates. They have a lot of influence on the state politics and they have ready to go organizations to get out the vote and so on. They know where the bodies are buried.

Kirk 48%, Giannoulias 46% with 98% votes counted. For Obama's seat.

Boehner crying about the election results...

Harry Reid's son loses the governor's race in Nevada.

I really should know this, but I don't...

Assuming that there's a House R majority and a Senate D majority, can there be a bill that amends or repeals ObamaCare sent from the House to the Senate? Or since the President would veto it and you probably couldn't find 67 votes for it, it's not even worth it?

All spending bills must originate in the house, per constitution.

The republicans can refuse to pass a bill funding Obamacare.

In fact, republicans can refuse to pass anything Obama wants to spend money on and use that as a hammer of sorts.

They'll have to compromise to get anything passed and past a veto.
