He was probably getting too much attention; they don't like that.

Cant wait to see how Crapzano will spin this.

Last year we got rid of KP on draft day... now Hat Guy. The sky is falling... the sky is falling!!

It's been a tempest in a teapot all along. I wouldn't be shocked to see overreaction to this :)

Of course they aren't renewing his consultant contract. Why would they?

As GM, he'll be a full-time employee.

HCP says he'd never seen Hat Guy prior to this year, and suddenly he's going on road trips.

Next thing you know, he's let go.

Apparently the way to succeed in a Paul Allen organization is to do as little work as possible, and kiss Paul's ring at least once a week.

Looks like Bert Kolde won this power struggle. Whoopie.

It's like the Chinese Cultural Revolution over at One Center Court.

I heard he made an embarrassing mistake when teamed with PA vs. Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer in a spirited game of Klingon boggle.

RT @kpelton: Word from a reliable source is that the Blazers have parted ways with Steve Gordon, better known as "Hat Guy."
Hold onto your hats!

He tried to conjugate "to be", which you can't do in Klingon...

...I mean, hahaha, funny nerd joke!

...fuck I'm a nerd. :sigh:

They have already identified his replacement - Scarf Guy.

You've made a career of ridiculing Hat Guy, but when Paul Allen does your bidding, you still find a way to turn it against him.

This guy was just seen entering the Blazer PF through a back door. :dunno:

Looks like PA is killing two birds by combining Pipe Guy and Ascot Guy.

I made an observation about a pattern I've noticed. Nobody had heard of Hat Guy until the past year or so, then suddenly he's traveling with the team, he gets mentioned at length in an Oregonian article two weeks ago, and now he's gone.
